been a while out oftouch with the developments

Needs to be 16 gb ram, nvidia 960 or 970 i guess. An ssd around 500mb and 3 tb hdd with a case and power supply.

Not sure which mobo etc and the ram type to go with it

Suggestions welcome. Oh and which cpu these days. It will be gaming on it.

Well if you want to buy things you're unlikely to ever use, then sure go right ahead. I'd say 8 is mooooore than enough for anything unless you're a developer and/or running several VM's.

I have 12 and I run several VM's, an instance of Elite Dangerous and an instance of CounterStrike, a load of browser windows open and a word doc all at the same time and rarely use above 10.

Throw money away if you want tho. I'd rather buy beer
