For people who drink Aftershock

1) Stand up
2) Pour shot in mouth
3) Hold for 5 seconds
4) Gargle for 5 seconds
5) Swirl the liquid round your mouth and teeth like the pink dentists stuff
6) Pull head down to your knees and while bringing your head sharply up, swallow the liquid and take a sharp breath of air in.

Repeat until drunk

or just hold it in your mouth for as long as possible... it's actually quite easy once you get past the whole "ow ow fucking hell" part and into the "ohh, my mouth has gone numb and i can't feel a thing" stage.

We found it alot more fun to see who could hold it longest, eventually your mouth feels like its burning.. (Usually about 30s) swallow then breath out.

Ours was always the following.

Drink ... Hold in mouth for 5 secs ... Spit back to glass
Drink ... Hold in mouth for 15 secs ... Spit back to glass
Drink ... Hold in mouth for 30 secs ... Spit back to glass
Down it.

No more than 5 secs recovery between 5, 15 and 30 second stints.

I hold the unofficial plymouth uni record for holding a mouth full of aftershock for just over 20 minutes. Were 6 of us who attempted it, and came down to me + one other guy. Only reason he stopped is we agreed to take a share of the glory (if you can call it that).

BUT do not do it! After 10 mins your mouth goes numb. you start to dribble, and your teeth will feel loose for a few days afterwards!

Holding aftershock really is easy tho, the trick is to tilt forward slightly so that it goes to the front of your mouth, it hurts like hell to begin with but stand still and dont move your head, finally your lips will go numb and you wont feel the stuff (ok, dribbling could be a problem for sas but personally thats never occured), just dont move your head and it will sit there all night long ;-)

Exactly, it's a fucking drinking game drink. You don't go to the bar and decide on an Aftershock because it tastes nice, you drink it to get drunk.

I think the point he's trying to make is, it doesn't taste nice? It does taste like aniseed after all, it's not to be taken frequently (for the sake of the kidneys)
