Sounds like we are about the same level. I can ace most of the medium songs in GH2, apart from a couple that has weird note streaks.
The jump from medium to hard is still rough for me ^^ that kid is insane.

real guitars are for old people. :p

On this note, i see some comments of guitar hero vids. people going. YEAH! but you couldn't play a real guitar! if you had learned to play a real guitar you could play stuff.

People know guitarhero is not real guitar playing. And maybe people. Me for one, have no interest in learning to play guitar, but like the game. Because that is what it is... a fucking game. No claimed this to be a guitar training tool.

but yes, i agree - it seems like a very fun game if you're into that kinda thing just, from a musicians point of view it was very annoying to play - i tried to play the police song on it which i can play on guitar and bass... and it was just like, wtf, you don't even have to play any particular part of the song - there doesn't seem to be any true relevance between the music and what you're playing on your would-be-guitar.

Agree tbh =) That's why I prefer Singstar =)

Honestly, I thought about getting my cello out (played for 10y ) and try some Apocalyptica - can't be that heard I think.

Well thats bit bs argument/statement tbh, cos I'm sure racing drivers don't play something like toca, and then go WTF this is nothing like driving etc..

i can do a lot of expert songs, but the last level took me forever on hard, and i cant even attempt the "One" solo on expert.
still the jump up from hard to expert is a lot more noticeable on GH3 imho.

I play guitar and I still like guitar hero, and I would say its not totally irrelevant to actually playing the guitar either, you get a good finger work out and some nice stretching going on with your fretting hand, you also get some good timing practice going on. :)

But it is a game and should be taken as such, and GH is a lot easier to learn than a real guitar so saying that people should have spent that time on a real guitar is a tad silly, cos they would still be a beginner.
