i find the start the best bit in F1 and thats about it - probably best to just watch the highlights for a more entertaining experience. As for WRC i always forget when it's on, but it's good when i manage to watch it (also probably cos it's the best bits in a highlight show)

You don't understand "sports of an extreme nature" so don't judge them, you'll find that most people don't use it as a mode of transport unless they're too young to actually drive. All the skateboarders I know my age (and including me) will drive to the spot they want to skate and then have fun. Because its fun, slating somebody else's prefered sport is actually part of the fun and we all except that. Anyway this is about WRC VS F1 I can't even remember why I mentioned skateboarding, and no tennis it brings back bad memories.

That really is a rather silly thing to say for someone of your intelligence... Skating/BMXing weren't really invented as methods of getting from A to B whilst transporting miscellaneous goods and passengers, were they? It might do you to note the smiley in my first post in the thread of reference - it wasn't meant to be serious; I've not the strength in my body to attack anyone, and thats rather lucky, considering my stance on physical violence.

You're (as per) the first to throw calm to the wind and take to the insults [!] and I respond in kind - by pointing out that most skaters at least start out doing so in their teens; making it a fair comment in my opinion - disagree as you will. I also continued the light-hearted manner.

I think my point was this: You have no idea about me, nor my interests in extreme sports, and I certainly don't have to make a show of them because you're ignorant (as always - it does seem to be all you lend yourself to)

I remember this discussion raging about 4 years ago - BTCC vs F1. BTCC went underground metaphorically speaking (its utter shite now) and WRC will prolly do the same.

Well I've always watched F1 since before I can remember, and I have always enjoyed it, its not ub3r action packed but it is an extremely skillful sport. If F1 is boring you then try watching NASCAR or IndyCart, they are even more action packed, both of those have very tight standards on the cars, and they are all nearly the same specs. This makes for a very even race based on driver skill more than machine/team funding...

I've also always watched Rally stuff, always wanted to be a Rally driver and loved it lots, I wish it had more coverage, because you only ever used to see bits on transworldsport and other shitty progs, that have to fit it all into a 10minute slot or whatever.
What channel 4 have done is a great advancedment in covering the rallies closely throughout the season, its entertained me a lot, but its still not enough. You get small exerts of in car footage and driving footage, then its back to interviews and stuff, not as much action as there could be. The programs should perhaps be longer and follow rally drivers more, I love watching them driving along bumpy dirt tracks with trees 4ft away on either side. Thats just spectacular, but they dont show enough of it.

As for what someone mentioned about rally games, I could say a tonne on this subject but I'm tired and had the same discussion a few days ago with a couple of mates. Basically, rally games nowadays arent up to standards, they need to be *shit* scary and have ub3r realism, not be all arcady and piss easy. I want to be driving along a bumpy dirt track with trees either side of me and potential career ending or life ending injuries inches away. Thats what I want, the feeling of being on the edge as youre driving on the game, you feel the slightest bump in the road and virtually scat youre pants as you scrape the branches of a tree....
Ahh if only they made rally games that tense.... saying that, the best one has to be rally championship (orange box), it has long stages and some pure scat yourself night stages in forests where if you finish the stage youre chuffed, let alone winning.

Come on developers give us a real gut wrenching realistic rally game, with properly chartered courses that are long!...

None of this 2minute stage bollocks, I want to be driving through the welsh mountains/forests for 30mins solid in a tense stage, where my car barely survives....

I've have tried and will continue to be as good as possible, if you check, I have yet to insult you.
Your point is incorrect however in that I know that you're the sort of person who can't hold his temper and if he isn't allowed to slate something he blows up, and I know that you cannot stand skateboarding, BMXing etc. and usually when a person hates something they don't tend to know a lot about it, unless under special circumstances.
I will leave it be when you post something in reply to me that isn't a complete lie and is actually a decent come back as opposed to the bollox you retaliated with.
