i know about capybara, have seen loads of docu's about them and things but i have never seen a domestic one they make the same sound as a guinea!!! im going to look in to getting one tbh, B2 doesnt like dogs but he likes GPs so this is a happy compromise!

I'm pretty sure domesticated pets are perfectly able to form "social" attachments to humans and other animals, my normal GP's squeek and get exicited at me when they smell/hear/see me coming.

capybara's are semi-aquatic animals too, they live in pacts and are often found swimming around so not sure if being domesticated is even legal in this country, they have their babies and mate in water usually

well they are legal to have as pets

but alot of sites say they are tough to look after and can be cruel for the animal

lol in all honesty i really dont agree with keeping exotic non domestic animals, my snails are as exotic as im likely to get atm though i am looking in to getting a tortoise in the future, but i'd get an old one from a rescue place i think.
