The daoc engine is utter crap tho.
I'm on an Amd Dual Core 2.4ghz, 1gb kingston hyper x, Geforce 7800gtx PCI-E and i still have inc lag and such so

Bi-Xeon system with 2.8Ghz on both, 2Gig Kingston RAM, GeForce7800GT ( from Gainward though, not that other shit ) and the only lag I sometimes have is the agramon shit, but that's when I'm playing at 1280*1024 and it's only very short =)

Seeing as i run F.E.A.R, WoW and lots of other newer games in full detail/resolution without as much as a twitch i'm gonna place my bet on that the daoc engine is complete and utter crap. ^^

Well, the DAoC engine still got SWGs engine beat by miles.
My laptop can run DAoC quite well, SWG is just a framerate fest of 1 to 5. With an occasional peak of 20+ if I'm in the middle of nowhere with nothing around me but empty space.

2 differnt pc's both run cata perfect, main is a amd 3800 x2, 7800gt x2, 1gig ram, other is p4 3.2 6600gt 1gig ram neither have a problem running in a zerg, laptop is also ok once it caches all the graphics is a centrino 1.7, 1gig ram 6800go.

It seems the rules on the names were different at the time the screenshot was taken, he could well be a player with a lower case starting letter. Look at FiFi, 2 capital F's.

The dual core will do virtually nothing in DOAC and the PCI-E is only marginally better that APG x 8. SLi a pair then you'd have a proper gaming rig

when i was makeing my first char, i thought lvl 50 was the holy grail of this game. seemd so far away. but then again i lvl solo whit no buffs from 1-44+.
cant remember how long did that take, now just takes a week of casual play to get 1-50 when you have friends. and next week after that you are fully toad, if you have the money.
