I bet Sir Alex nearly had a heat attack running the contract all the way there so they could not change the offer

Lol yeah I would have burst a few blood vessels to get that kind of money for him, especially when you consider we didn't have him on a long term contract. £5.5 million is great money for him, good luck to the lad and I hope he does a great job for Sunderland. If the Middlesborough offer for Smith is true at £6.5 million then it will have been a great week, just need to move Heinze on for £7 million now and I am a happy bunny. The only thing that would make me happier is selling Saha and buying Huntelaar.

Saha is like herpes Cho, no matter how hard you'll never get shot of him :D

would Heinze be a possible replacement for Gallas? He's unhappy in Arsenal afaik. Or is Heinze only one-sided? :p

Gallas is a tit for leaving Chelsea, he thought he was gonna get better football at Arsenal and they plopped him in at left back where he didn't like it to begin with :p

Heinze i've seen play left/centre and does very well at both tbh.

aye, he's one of my favorite man utd. players. I could see him do well for Arsenal, as they could use some experienced players. I sadly dont see them getting rid of Gallas though. Yes, he's a very good player, but Arsenal doesn't need all those whining bitches atm.

Will happily swap Gallas for Heinze, Gallas is a class defender and much more robust than Gaby in the centre of defence.

Heinze is not the same player imo since he returned from injury, dives in far too much, and has lost a bit of pace (although he never really had much)

That's why SAF isn't standing in his way to leave unless he tries to join Liverpool :p

Don't even get me started on Saha, when fit he is very effected, but i think i read he has played 100 games in 3.5 years, thats just not good enough for one of our main strikers.

Saha has played in 100 games but a about a dozen of these are friendlies iirc. He has played in 86 out out of a possible 197 games from what I have read elsewhere, the bloke is a jonah.

As for Gaby, my main worry is his lack of commitment since his injury, before that he was a diamond but since then it seems to all about ego and how much money he can earn. With that attitude good riddance tbh but they should not sell to the scousers even if it means missing out on an extra £2 million.

Whilst 5.5m for richardson does seem a lot, its the norm now for English players because of the amount of money in the english premier league. He is also an england international which im sure, Fergy factored into the sale price.

I wish he never left Chelski too i cant stand the prick he is so up himself and Kolo is a better defender imo. Add to that every game he played we failed to keep a clean sheet and i don't know why the fucker rates himself so much.

I would love to sell the up himself twat buy Hypia as senior cover and go back to playing Kolo - Dojoru Kolo - Senderos.

Read what Galas says on the 1st July Arseblog - “It’s fuckin’ excellent”…an Arsenal blog.

Apparently another mistake by VDS today....

It doesn't suprise me bud, over half a dozen serious mistakes in the last 12 games of the season and all down to either lack of concentration or confidence taking the ball in the air. If Foster wasn't injured I would have to seriously consider making him the regular goalkeeper, Edwin cannot justify the #1 shirt based on form at the moment.

Good shot stopper perhaps, but when you guys came to Stamford Bridge he looked so shakey from any cross balls or corners coming close to him.

Agreed, lets hope it was just nerves but I am yet to be convinced.

I think Reina got more cleaqn sheets due to the fact he has Carragher and co in front of him :p

For what?

Nothings ever set in stone in football, you should know that.

I was told a good 2 weeks ago that it was a done deal. My father was a football scout for barca and I still keep in touch with some of his "contacts". It was all dependent on Chelsea signing Moulouda which they have

I'll believe it when i see it.

However the cash made here might mean theres enough to buy Alves with, which would be handy.

You should be pleased m8, Robben is too much of a pussy for the premership.

That Malauda will be a great buy for you.
