Barry is far from their best player.. Martin Laursen has been a starter for every match and has played 90minutes in everyone of them, this enitre season, besides one game where he was subbed in the 70th minute or something! 6 goals as a CB is quite good aswell.. Even the Villa fans voted him as player of the season

That's wrong though to be honest. Barry is their best player. Closely followed by Ashley Young. I'd say Laursen is actually behind Agbonlahor and Carew as well. He did have a good Laursen, but he's a fairly average player.

How is your opinion worth more than the fans who watch him every week? Everyones entitled to an opinion but claiming the entire Villa fan base is 'wrong' seems a little harsh. You might disagree, but stating that they are just plain wrong shows you have delusions of your status in this world.

Not meant to insult but you should appreciate others may have a different opinion.

Understandable. However, I agree with the Villa fans that he had a good season, but i don't think he's their best player. I think maby Villa fans would agree with that statement.

In this climate Barry is actually worth over 10million, Benitez is a pleb! Besides, in all likelyhood if Liverpool purchased him then Barry would play on the left wing.

And Laursen was key to villa, not the most skillful but is solid at his job and is one the main reasons they done so well this season. It no wonder villa fans rate him as the best player of the year. That does not mean he is the best player, however it means he performed above the rest this season.

Barry is a solid all round player. He is strong on the defensive side of the game, but more important to Villa was his distribution from freekicks which provided many goals. Overall he is one the most skillful players in the side, but this does not mean he been their best player.
