You have a very talented squad, weak in a couple of areas but overall a top quality squad. The problem is all about your manager, he says he wants the title but consistently sacrifices league points for the sake of having his strongest side for cup games. Why? Because he knows he has a far better chance of winning the FA or Carling cup than the league and has an outside shot at the Champions League if his best players stay fit and rested. He looks at it this way, silverware is all that matters and he knows cups are much easier to win so his focus is on them until he can build a side capable of winning the league.

Sadly for him most Liverpool fans hate that mindset, right now the want the league title and anything else is just icing on the cake. I honestly don't believe Rafa is the man to deliver you that league title either, he has kept deadwood in the squad instead of having a badly needed clearout during the summer. Liggers like Kewell are not good enough, don't work hard enough to play for a great club like Liverpool. He is just sitting on massive wages and taking the piss, the lazy cnut should have been sold 2 years ago.

Because they put the reserves out. The FA cup/League cup doesnt really matter to teams like Arse and Man Utd. Its the league and champions league they want.

I wouldn't say Arse and Man Utd consider the FA cup in that respect. The FA cup is one of, if not the most prestigious cup competition out there. Agreeably the league cup is fluff based on the teams United and Liverpool put out; Arsenal use it as a good outlet for their young players to get a run around.

sadly agree on most points, but the deadwood isnt kewell, he's just fucking unlucky with injuries, everytime he's fit he's straight back in the squad and he plays well gets good crosses in starts to look like his old self (hes never been for liverpool what he was for leeds) then gets injured again

Winning the champions league is also massive money i wonder how much of the way Rafa plays is him being told he needs to get to at least xyz stage of each cup for the income. I think the only finacial difference in winning and losing from the fa at least is the 1m place bonus.

I was born in London, so im not a scouser. I saw my first Barcelona game at the age of 18 months, from the directors box, as my father was a scout for them. I only "support" Everton as my uncles did, so it stemmed from there. But I would hardly say I support them, being that ive been to about 5 times as many Barca games than everton games in the past 5 years. So i dont see, why you feel the need to get all personal with me?? I havent even seen the football factory :S
