The whole situtation is a farce, I feel quite sorry for him. It seems to me that this is a diversionary tactic to keep the attention away from the financing of the new stadium which is in total disarray at the moment. The americans came in promising no debt and now they are talking about putting the club in debt to the tune of £300 million plus to build it but with the credit crunch of recent months all the plans are up in the air because they cannot secure the loans required without incurring huge interest repayments ala Man Utd.

I urge all scousers to resist. Better to own your own 45,000 seater stadium and be debt free rather than have a 70,000 seater stadium and end up playing £50 million a year in interest repayments alone. It is the fast road to bankruptcy and if the Glazers aren't very careful they are going to ruin the club I love as well. They are playing a very risky game with massive rewards if they can beat the odds.

The media in this country is disgraceful. They're always looking to hound someone out of a job. 8 (or is it 9 now) premiership managers have been sacked for one reason or another. Thats almost half the teams who have had to readjust under new management.

yeah i know, the thread was about Liverpool admitting that before he had signed for Bayern he had been negotiating with Liverpool as a replacement for Rafa "in case he left for Real Madrid or other such rumours" was their excuse
