Vlad, knew you would have to dig back a few years for a quality Chelsea goal. ;)

Some great goals but the Carlos one is very special, to score from that angle with that much power is sensational.

Not all great goals are stunners from the edge of the box, some are just clever.

He will do well at Everton next season

Hmm, if the rumours about Everton were true, then your after Hennessey and Kightly and all, personally i dont see us selling them unless you are willing to pay a huge sum... but then again we sold you Lescott for a mere 2million... :(

Take your pick. My favourite has to be the free kick where he flicks it up before volleying it in the top corner, against wimbledon iirc. In the top 5 players to have ever played in the Premiership (with giggs, cantona, henry and bergkamp) and gets nowhere near enough credit.

He doesnt get the credit because he wasnt as good as southampton fans like to think he was. Hes not in the same league as the 4 other players you mentioned imo.

Yeah but he was that good though. People dont realise how good he was because they didnt see enough of him. People like Giggs and Henry are/were on the tv every week because they play for big clubs. If you saw Sir Matt play every week you'd see how good he was in his prime. I remember the 1998 world cup. Hoddle gave some players on the fringes of the squad a chance to impress in a B international against France. Le Tiss scored a hat-trick and didn't make the squad. If he had played for a big club he would get much more credit, fact.

I remember watching him versus Everton when we spanked southampton, think it was 3-0 and he was totally anonymous, even the southampton fans were giving him grief for being a lazy barsteward. Im not saying he wasnt skilled, he was, but his overall game let him down imo
