Oh and Rooney was taking the throw ins because Russias left winger is like shit off a shovel and didnt want Richards getting caught out. Maybe SWP should of taken them, but maybe he wasnt strong enough to get a good ball into the box

Ronney was on the attacking throw ins instead of richards coz he was throwing the ball into the box towards richards for the flick on (richards can jump abit :p). Im guessing rooney's the only other person bar richards that can throw the ball into the area.

Now if LAMPARD was on the throw ins!!! .. okay thats abit too much! :p

is anyone else not just really frustrated?

we do have a very good team, on a player by player basis

at club level each player is seen as one of the top players for his respective team, on a club EU ranking level, all the clubs the players come from are top30ish

why the hell cant we seem to beat these so-so teams, russia will be doing awesome to get past the group stages come next june, england will at least be expected to get to the quarters, by most people around europe not just the brits!

its simple stuff though, the defense doesnt get stuck in properly, look at the amount of last ditch tackles from the russians, that open play goal from them was sloppy as anything (blame robinson blame anyone, but a fumble led to an unmarked man 3ft out, thats just bad.)

and the attacking side of things isnt flowing on a regular basis. last few games have looked better, but its against sub par opposition. I'm still a firm believer in a 442 you NEED to have a little n large combo, and since shearers left we've been severely lacking the large. You can put crosses in all day, but if no1s going to get on the end of them, whats the point really? your looking to pounce on mistakes more than anything when your playing a wide 442 with 5ft8 CFs

just a sad state of affairs, lamps n gerrard were in europes top3 a mere year back, how can you say that players of this caliber are overrated and crap is beyond me, the explanation is theyre just not performing well enough at international level, for whatever reason.

getting knocked out would maybe do the world of good for us to be fair, anyways lets see how it all pans out

When I saw Rooney take the first Throw-in, I was screaming at the tv, he should not be taking them ffs. He is a striker, it's not fucking rocket science, it's like a goal keeper taking the corners,it doesn't fucking make sense, imo Rooney is just too immature to play for England. Whenever he feels the pressure he can't handle it, imo he is just a thick scouser

Quality

Agree with Marc, non of the players look proud at all. Sure Terry and the rest of them talk a good omg I am so proud to be here speech. But they do not show it.

Couldn't it be due to the fact that they know how they will be treated by the media and the english fans if they make one mistake. They're probably very proud, however maybe it's hard to enjoy something when you get treated as a traitor to your own country if you make one mistake.

No, if people work hard they get praised if they ran their arses off and gave it everything and still lost then they would be celebrated, if they play like a bunch of slackers then they get booed

The FA is to blame for the current malaise in English football. If the morons at Lancaster Gate had a clue they would never ever had picked this guy as the manger of the national team. I mean come on whats his record as a manger? His teams have not anything worth talking about at club level so why on earth do they pick him to run the national team.

They have always been shit at choosing mangers with the exception of Bobby Robson and Terry venables in the last fooking God knows how long. Anyone remember Brian Clough and wonder how he never manged England? Yes you guessed it the muppets at the FA decided in their infinite wisdom that he was not good enough for it.

I know some people will say that it is not the mangers fault that the team fail to give results but its the job of the manger to motivate players, to get the best out of them. The manger decides on formations and tactics and its the manger that will instill confidence in players, if the manger is a fucking nobody what on earth do peopl expect from the players?

Give Terry the job and just let him get on with it, long contract and leave him to it trust me this guy will bring England the trophies not McfuckingDonut!!!
