Man Utd fan so i'm a neutral on the Lampard v Gerrard debate.

Gerrard is the better player for me. But like Lampard has not produced a good performance for in an England shirt for years.

They aren't the only ones you can add Rio/Robinson/Rooney to the list.

The whole system needs changing from top to bottom in England, else nothing will change for many years.

I disagree.

When Lampard played under Mourinho he was the main man in midfield. Almost every attacking move would go through him or he'd orchestrate it in some way. Whether the move ended with him blasting from 30 yards or the ball being squared 2 yards in front of goal he was involved.

IMO when you bring together players who're playing a few times a year together on average you're not going to have that awareness of what will happen.

Unfortunately Gerrard has produced marginally better performances as of recently (he's hardly been impressive - Barry is the main man at the moment) and has been preferred over Lampard.

The england fans being stupid ***** booing their own players doesn't help either.
