Its a shame Blackburn couldn't hold on for the win. Man Utd have a huge goal difference advantage so even if Chelsea win Man Utd still have to slip up elsewhere.

It does make Fergies team selection interesting over the next seven days though.

Having to play Barcelona 2 days after playing Chelsea will be a tough game - especially as Barca have Deportivo next weekend so may be able to rest more key players than United.

The entire season coming down to 3 games for both teams

He will mainly change the midfield about in the games due to the strength in depth in that area, hopefully he plays nani though as giggs is ineffective most the time, and Nani's corners have constantly been a threat.

Anderson and Hargreaves will play against Barcelona I reckon, if we get a good result then he will put out the strongest team against chelsea. But even if we lose the league is still in our hands. Couple of slip ups lately but with Nani and vidic back I feeling more confident of getting the title still even with todays result. We really be up for the last 2 games no matter what happens at chelsea.

I rather take the league then the champions league still. Always favour domestic league to the cups, but I know fergi would love to have another champ league win under his belt.

What is it with Man U slipping up against these kind of teams.

You expect teams to lay out the red carpet for us FFS?

This is a derby, it was never going to be easy.

We are the biggest club in the world everyone wants to beat us.

scholes has been poor the last couple of games, I would have prefered to see Anderson in there.

Anderson had a knock from the last game, same as Hargreaves. This is why they werent on the sub bench. I absolutely adore Anderson as a player as he puts heart and soul into his play and brings the opponents play to a standstill even though that never was his main strength. All his got to do now is bring in some of his Porto goal scoring and we be laughing.

Undoubtedly - but i would say in certain positions Chelsea have superior strength in depth.

Id like to hear them :p

I dont see us getting beaten of Chelsea, maybe if they send us to sleep with their top drawer football :p

Either way I dont see us losing to you and then dropping anymore points.

Chelsea have two far superior strikers in terms of out-and-out goalscoring compared to Rooney and Tevez, who are well known to play too deep at times.

There are few comparisons to be drawn as the two styles of play are very different, meaning the individual attributes of each player can't really be compared.

All IMO ofc :)

Tevez and Rooney have scored more than Drogba/Kalou/Anelka this season tho.

Anelka doesnt fit into the Chelsea system to be honest, and until they willing to play a 4-4-2 I feel he never will. Too reliant on that diagonal ball that like to play to Drogba which is a real threat to other teams.

Tevez is a right poacher, you can see that in alot of his goals. He will often be the player that just snaps at the ball in the box and find the back of the net, and for a short guy he good at heading it :)
Rooney is very wasteful and 1 vs 1 I always favour the keeper, that said from outside the box he can be deadly. Prefer him shooting from 20 yards then 6 yards :p

Drogba is about power, and shear power. He can outmuscle most people and stikes the ball well. But he can be wasteful and like all strikers a bit of a drama queen.

Hate to say it though, I dont think either teams forwards are as good as Torres is alot of the time. Both Chelsea and Man United stikers can be quite wasteful often, however Torres as improved in this aspect this season as it was also a weakness to his game. And it has shown recently that without lampard and drogba Chelsea struggle for goals.

The next 10 days is going to be interesting, but the thing is Chelsea's season can fall apart totally and rule them out of winning anything, whereas Man United can lose all 3 games and still come away with the league as that will be in their hands.

Well I agree with him.

Considering Drogba was at the ACON and was injured, he isn't doing bad.

Don't rate Kalou.

Anelka scored 11 goals for Bolton before joining Chelsea, and has hardly played much.

Kalou has not been used as a striker though - he's been played a lot on the wing and i think it suits him better as his finishing is not quite up to scratch yet.

They may be on more goals - but does that necessarily make them more out and out strikers? Not for me.

Drogba has spent large parts of this season on the sidelines, and Anelka has been played out of position and as a lone striker, not ideal.

You kinda summed up Chelsea's main problem (for me) Vlad.

Get Drogba back at his best and you're laughin all the way to the title.

If Grant had done what everyone was thinking and started playing 4-4-2 once Drogs was back from the ACN then i feel we would be at the top of the table now.

However it looks like he's buckled under trying to keep our central midfielders happy by sticking with 4-3-3, which only works if we've got Drogba playing as Anelka doesn't cut it as a lone man.

Thank god Rooney/Hargreaves/Anderson/VDS are all fit for the Barca game, watching them tonight, another average performance until Messi came on to liven them up.

Scholes and Giggs have been poor for a while, Nani and Anderson make a much bigger impact when they play. From now on they need to be starting and the veterans need to be used more sparingly.

He has played 13 times since he signed, that is a very good number of games for 3 months.

I was wondering. What is up with shevchenko? Is he just not playing or is he injured? and what about the whole season.. did he play at all?

I still have alot of faith in him :)
