I have suffered from periods of having an upset stomach for as long as I can remember and have recently been diagnosed as having IBS, I was quite stressed at the time so it made sense. I bought some sachets over the counter of this god awful drink that is supposed to taste like orange juice but actually tastes like death but it seemed to work for a time, whenever i was feeling the symptoms coming on I would have a drink in the evening and feel fine the next day. I was also advised to avoid having too much wheat so made the switch from having wheatabix for breakfast to porridge.

Recently though I have been having similar symptoms but the drinks are doing nothing. While at the doctors I also had blood tests to check for other symptoms, all the results came up with were a low calcium count in my blood, the thing is though I have all the signs of having a healthy calcium level, I have very good teeth, one filling at 30 which was a result of a wisdom tooth breaking off part of another tooth and have strong bones, I have only ever broken my wrist and a couple of fingers which all healed really quickly.
Anyway, the doctor also told me to drink more milk. I now try to drink a pint a day in the evening, last night I was thirsty as I was locking the house up before bed so had a second pint. This morning I could shit through the eye of a needle and to cut a long story short I think I may be lactose intolerant but would like to get tested for it Has anyone ever had a test? Did they solve your problems? I have had a google and found that Bupa do them, can you get them on the NHS? Obviously I could stop drinking milk for a week and see but due to the previously mentioned low calcium levels I am not sure if this is the right thing to do.

I feel really bad today because its caused me to have a day off sick which I hate doing but I am about to take my 3rd shit of the day and its only 9am!

Help me Dr. FHOT, you are my only hope!

lol eww how vivid! just phone the Dr's and ask if they do the tests, also check out nhs choices website which gives you an A-Z index of symptoms and is what Drs use to give additional information to their patients. Don't worry matey! just go poke about on that website and see what you can find out then get on to the Doc.

It's not really uncommon, just go get it checked out.

Though it might just be that you're eating things that your body doesn't like you to eat and is staging a coup?

You can do a lil test yourself;

-Mark down all you eat, every little thing.
-Mark down results of tummy.
-Compare.
-Don't eat things that make ya a space rocket.

lol eww how vivid!

Look who's talking :p

True, you can do that, but it could be that you're allergic to that coloring agent in candybar X and in drink Y, and you'd never find out what it is that you're allergic to that stuff. Exclusion diets work for things like sugar and wheet and stuff, but are very difficult for small stuff like food colorings and other E-numbers.
I'd say, go to the doctor, have a test done (which is rather cool really, you get a cool grid on your lower arm or on your back with dozens of little cuts or slices) Gives braggin' rights at school/uni/work/elderlyhome :)

Ask in General, I know Mycanae(sp?) works in a hospital or something so she's full of useful advice.
