OOOh, 2 FG of Albs zerged by 4 Hibs.

Maybe now you'll understand that Albs never zerging, they just bring the numbers to even up odds, compared to versatility on different classes in different realms.

notice the 3x 'Character has been saved' , prolly 1,5 hour

didnt use any insta mezz.

plain old run up, cast ae mezz, gank.. we didnt even have a caster.
just pure tanking all the way.

first round, a bard, warden, hero, ranger, vs about 14 albs.. we win.

2nd round, a repeat.. we win.

3rd round, we're joined by another warden and a spearo.. they get a mincer to try and get the bard (me), and make it 2fg+ but i get away and we win again.. STILL not used any instas..

is of fun m8s.

How does BoF help against instamez or instastun? And how does BoF help against magic attacks?

I must say nice play to those 4 Hibs. I just would not post about, not that Mythic ever bothers to read this, but Albions are already pissed off at the power of Hibs, lets make that a bit worse.
And about realm numbers. I think last 2 days Hibs have been outnumbering Albs, or atleast easily owning them in Emain.

Erm, you don't understand do you? BoF only protects the group from melee damage. Against hibs its pretty useless if they have a couple of good casters. Only time its really really useful is against many melee users, then it might be a win button but its not even close as useful as instamez or GP.

useless? not! at least 50% of the damage in each group comes from meleers (more if the tanks are spearos). you can't get thrust resist over 26% however albs often have nearing 50% heat and cold resist! i was hitting on some alb tank the other day for 40 non styled with 5.7spd lv 50 spear (i think it was gunner)- that's insane.

combine this with SoS and albs have almost unstoppable very hard to kill indeed tanks with plate + BoF absorb.

GP can be probably the best RA. but the amount of times people in group have single purge and use it at the same time is rather frustrating (eg. me :p).

be surprised and mezzed, they purge and insta.

BoF = insta-win o_O ???

Most times I've used it we majorly lost the fight (prolly because I usually only use it when we're outnumbered).

In some fights BoF turns out well and let's you win a fight with style - after which hibs and mids go to the forums and whine about BoF being overpowered and forgetting all the times I've used it and it made little difference to the fights' outcome.

purge and insta's are all on LONG timers, if they'd only give me quickcast now I'd be happy ;)

Then you SoS away and come back and quick cast mezz and BoF. Or maybe, they use Purge, and then BoF, or wait a sec, minstrel purges and casts Cure Mezz and then you BoF...

Except you have to use it preventive, not reactive.

Purging, castin cure mez... wait a minute here, what are the enemies actually doing through all this? Nothing?

Cleric purging + BoFing still leaves 7 mezzed people standing there, the Hibs can either run away and return in 30secs OR they can just beat the Cleric for the 30secs, not like he can kill you...
Unless you go being cocky and breaking all sorts of mezzes with melee, BoF really doesn't save you much from a good mez.

I started off taking the piss, but once again the whinge brigade has landed. It's total bollox, there are no guarantees in this game, insta mezz is not a guarantee, GP is not a guarantee. There is no instawin button, and people need to get over it.

There are options open to any realm when you make contact, if you die because of your choices, you need to come terms with it, instead of coming here to whine about the same thing over and over.

More hibs than albs in the hib frontier the last 2 days. Geez. Some hibs better go Albion now, this is unfair.

Ohh, and outnumbering albs, and owning albs is pretty far from the same thing.
