Do you actually see the gameplay in FM games now?
The last one i played was eons ago in Championship Manager 2
its 2d match engine, so you see a birds eye view of the game, and its really good now (this versions improved it alot imo, seems very real and get the super sunday feel alot more so than the old one, and more variance etc etc)
you can set it to just show like, the key moments of the game on the pitch, or you can watch all the game or none of the game if you want at loadsa diff speeds (and replays for when cristiano hits a 40yarder and you need the slomo
)champ man 2 was ace tbh- alan boksic was as good as cheating

Cant remember which one it was, was on the amiga, maybe the original champ manager, but 2 of the developers put themselves in the game, ferrara orosco and mark collis. Both at cambridge, but you had to wait for cambridge to buy someone before they would sell them both. They were both the best players in the game.

torres and a 35yarder from gerrard just did me 2-1
checked afonso straight away as hes on fire irl for herenveen(sp?) atm (scored 6 in one game a couple of weeks back!)
but he doesnt look so hot in game, now vagner love on the other hand...

pfft even says bendtners a mega prospect which is lies as he never improves beyond a poor point in 07

Dont pick a premiership team for your first game, pick someone in a lower division where it isnt as competitive and you can get used to tactics/training.
as far as i can tell this champ mans alot easier than the last, they seem to have got rid of the megaman goalies of 07 and 06
the explanation use to be that quick attacking football lead to oppertunities of less quality, and so players were more likely to squander chances
but my Llronte with 20finishing and 18 composure missing 5x 1on1 against brad friedel every game use to take the piss a bit :<
they have added a more "realistic" randomness to this game though which im enjoying, though they've definitely gone OTT on the amount of goals disallowed and offside etc- getting at least 1 a game sometimes upto 3- perhaps this is the 08 balancing factor like the mega goalies of past, or the random 100% free kick rates of 04?
keitan how can you fail with a rich liverpool- theyv got an awesome squad as it is, just play a 442 and use defensive defenders, a mix of defensive and attacking mids and attacking strikers, not rocket science and will get reasonable results :X

Let your assistant manager pick the side, he will know where to play Huntelaar. For me he plays in a front 2 alongside either Rooney or Tevez and he works wonders for me.
