See, now I don't wish to "provoke" or anything, but how about just letting people subscribe to the b3ta e-mail, or at least suggesting to them that they should. It is this kinda stuff that really winds me up & I know you ain't doing it deliberatly doh_boy but if it is pointless & you already admit it's pointless, then it should just never have existed.

1. As I said to TTD on IRC yesterday, I post how I post. I never said this thread is shit, I think you'll find I said it's pointless which doh_boy has already stated anyhow. So me & the person who posted this agree, yet I'm the bad guy?
2. Don't want to subscribe? Fine. All these links are on http://www.b3ta.com/newsletter/issue79/ which I might add turns out as a single link & while you're there you can also go through all the back issues, etc, etc, etc.
3. Please refrain from telling me what to do, you're not the moderating force here. As I've pointed out on other threads, basically I won't care so you're wasting your breath & time, save it for other more pleasant things. I'm going to post what & how I like, then it's only between me & the mods as to whether I stay or get banned.

G, at the moment, most of your 'observations' are to put it politely unnecessary - from what I've seen over the last couple of days if Ted did step in and exclude you temporarily the general quality of discussion here wouldn't be harmed one bit...

if you don't want to be part of the solution round here, then so be it, personally I don't think any real 'situation' exists currently at BW, lots of people seem to be bitching about a couple of isolated incidents which ultimately won't be solved one way or another here in the forums, if you have a problem with BW's staff, email them - if you have a problem with the forums at large or any other tidbit which doesn't directly relate to the normal topics we waffle about, try posting somewhere in here. it's deathly dull to see every thread being turned into some moan or other... :sleeping:

personally, I don't write a huge reply, checking up links, on threads I don't like, I use the back button.

If you find someone who frequently posts topics then there's always ignore, but ultimately doh_boy had a disclaimer in the thread title...

It seems pretty sad to attack a thread after spending so long researching your bleat, and it's this kind of undermining we need to drop if we're going to welcome any new blood into our number.

Excuse me for trying to educate as supposed to anhialate for a change. Again, all I'm trying to point out to doh_boy is that he's left himself open to the grand comments such as "old", "seen it", etc & as we all know those threads do cause unnecessary nastyness. All I was trying to do is point out that if he'd started a discussion about B3ta.com this thread might have taken a more positive direction. Again, this isn't a moan, gripe, etc. I'm just trying to (I feel) help doh_boy.

As for BWs staff, I don't have a problem with any of them, why would I?. The TTD reference is in relation to a 10 line private conversation & is not in any way related to all this #wij stuff.

And I'm also sorry if this does turn this place into a snooze for you Xavier. However if nobody points out how we might improve things for ourselves, then we'll never get any beneficial changes here. Maybe trying to is a waste of time, I don't know. However with the potential influx of hundreds of new people, now would seem to be a good time to improve the quality here, before we get swamped with quantity. Thats all.

FS, the point of this thread was that I found those links funny. There was some stuff on there that I didn't find funny and one that I figured would not be welcome (xylo-tard :/ ).

The reason I titled the thread as such and why I had the little 'disclaimer' at the bottom was an attempt to stop the thread going down this very route.

G: Thanks for the 'tone' of the post I've been around long enough to know you gladly live up to your title .

As far as I'm concerned I like posting/reading what you consider to be 'pointless crap' its entertaining and doesn't take too much effort.

Tbh and this is a generalisation, it's not aimed at you doh_boy or anyone else for that matter, threads that make a point of warning everyone they're spammy, old, etc i.e have a disclaimer, are the threads that in general suck the most. Basically because they start off from the very beginning in a "this is gonna suck & i've already told you" manner.

Again I've still not said this thread is shite, etc. Comparitively it doesn't bother me as much as some of the others i've seen recently. Also I'm sorry if it's put you in a bad mood doh_boy, but I know you're mature enough to read and understand the comments where as others (as we've seen before) would no doubt be incinuating I have Aids by now I also don't think this thread needs deleting, but that's down to you mate.
