ok so when im typing sometimes i get a bit over enthusiastic and i hit a key which makes the tool bar at the bottom disappear (theres just a little lefty-righty-slidey-thingy) and the stuff at the top of the screen goes all odd too, i think its an F key and i tried just poking them all to see if it undoes whatever i just did but it doesnt work, it seems to be in the area between f7 and f12.

if someone could tell me what im hitting and how to undo it i'd be much obliged

As Olg and Afran said F11, press that assuming you haven't F-locked your keys in your ferver, if you have get the F-lock off before F11'ing again.

And a good point made by Afran, how did you mistakenly hit F11? What website were you on? I want some of that

Sometimes your in a hurry.

F11 is very near both the P and O keys.

Aren't there the nu,ber keys in the way first? I use a Logitech DiNovo Edge keyboard, which I think is pretty standard in terms of keyboard layout, it's a 2 inch leap to F11 on that.

I prefer to let my imagination wander as to what Ez was doing Gol!

loool it was f11 (it happens when im gabbling while i type...i.e. typing so fast i get sloppy) and i think i was prolly aiming for the back space key and taadaa....and yes megadave i have asked this before, however i shan't be asking again as i have written it down on a post it and stuck it above the desk lol
