One of my moggies brought this in this morning:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/soundman/ (top two piccies)

Its sat on a flap on my boiler now, lying on some toilet paper, with a small very shallow puddle of water although it doesn't drink anything.

It seems quite happy to wriggle about although its eyes are closed and covered in some kind of film, like a giant alien bird baby. There are hardly any feathers.

I reckon it got pushed out of the nest, or the egg fell out and broke, and the cat just brought me a present.

Will it live or die? Others have told me to bag it and whack with a shovel, but I'd have thought it would have died after 12 hours out of the nest. Its very cosy and warm right now and theres a trail of baby shit from its rear quarters.

Suggestions please!

RSPCA or kill it.

im not sure how it will survive without the teaching it would get from its mother.

Birdy dead :(

Oh well, not many birds survive into adulthood anyway from what I'm told, so its no great loss.

LOL best video link ever.

NO idea wtf the were saying apart from one bit near the end when they say "ninja" when the cat is climbing into the pen.

Ninja cat who thinks a rooster is its mother.
