Fix Camelot! (update.dat fixer)

I recently had a run of the game crashing and trying to patch to the US version. Got fed up after missing a few ports so i made this a little batch script to update. Very simple but it saves a bit of time.

Incidentally - when did you last get the patch to US servers bug? I've heard rumours it's fixed.

if you set your update.dat to read-only you dont need all of that

Erm no actually - I set mine to read only and I still got regularly patched to the US servers after every single LD. Strangely enough though I find if I disconnect and reconnect my adsl connection after an LD it doesn't do this... usually.

Rather a long winded approach there, why not just have one batchfile on the desktop like :-

set mySI=c:\Shrouded Isles
echo Mythic Patch > %mysi%\update.dat
echo 193.252.123.21:1280/updates/english/isles/mpatch.dat >> %mysi%\update.dat
echo 193.252.123.21:1280/updates/english/isles/mpatch.dat >> %mysi%\update.dat
c:\shrouded isles\si.exe

That'll reset the update.dat and load the game every time you click on it, just guessed at the path for SI and the exe to load, cant remember them off hand and im at work

just make a .bat file and write

login.dll

in it...you skip the updating stuff with this
