There is no law against cheating on your spouse, there is against computer hacking.

what about cheating on your computer? ie owning both an Apple & a PC. Or even worse, installing windows in your Apple. Talk about rubbing their nose in it

What Raven said; however if you read the article you linked, you'll see that he could get up to 5 years, but that is unlikely. It comes down to whether he hacked her account or knew her password.

Also who technically bought the pc? If him. Then he cannot hack his own machine

Yes, 5 years is the maximum penalty for that crime, and you'd have to have done something pretty serious to earn that.

The guy who guessed sarah palins email account password got a year and a day in jail for it, so I'd suspect this guy would get a lot less. That he's even being charged is ridiculous.

You'll be living in some shit hole if adultery is considered a crime. Move to the modern world instead.

in fact

In the United States, laws vary from state to state. In those states where adultery is still on the statute book (although rarely prosecuted), penalties vary from life sentence (Michigan)

as this is the specific state being mentioned in the story

Adultery is a crime in Taiwan, Phillipines, Pakistan, India (I think), & Saudi Arabia. Some US States have adultery as a crime on the statute books but its rarely prosecuted.

aw I'd love a tortoise, always wanted but never could afford...which is why I got snails; which are now both ex-snails :( (ghosts in a shell?)
