Ofcourse, didn't mean to imply that you're weak minded etc. If i did, apologies are due. If that's the way for you, then it is and more power to you for doing all you can to change a situation you don't like ;) Might be some kind of an auto-defense against things that might be ripping people off, never you mind my rambling. STFU progress initiated :p

A good personal trainer will spot things before you are able to yourself, which will often save yourself problems with injuries and strains etc.

Personally I don't think they're worth the money but to disregard their worth altogether is a bit silly.

Toht has a slight point, as all the info you will ever need is free on bbing forums ... however if you are lifting, you do need someone to show you proper technique for the first time be a lifting friend or w/e.

However, every PT I've ever seen in the gym looks like a giant waste of money and isn't in the kinda shape I would expect a decent PT to be in.

Apart from one Latino girl, that had that the best arse and thighs I've ever seen .... ;p

Good going man and good luck.

If though youre going to step it up from an half hour session of walking x2 a week youll need to eat a little more than that otherwise youll get ill and that will put you back and youll stop.

A personal trainer "consulting" you that you need training? Who would've thought :p

Just saying that, do it yourself. If you don't have the willpower to lose weight solo, you won't have the willpower to keep it down solo.

Sorry Tohtori, thats downright stupid. I've lost around 40-45 kg over a couple of years, both solo and with the help of a personal trainer. The experience and motivation you get from the personal trainer is invaluable, and lasts. To have someone make you a schedule and just get you out there can help you take that actual step in the right direction, the rest will (hopefully, in my case it was) follow.
