First day of placement

Oh boy, didn't sleep last night. Buzzing my head off at doing this. First couple of hours, just read this etc. And then bam smacked with 5 articles to write, I was like wtf!!

Did one, and even then I wrote too much :/ But rather too much than not enough. Already been told I will have to do another stint of this as it's unlikely I will get the time to get the stuff I need.

Enjoying it though, learning a bit too

Ok, it's old news now, it was on Anglo-Saxon burial. Did two more today. Reason I didn't tell you is that I can't before it's gone to press. We work on alot of stuff a day in advance. Working for dailies tho roxx. No such thing as a bad news day xD

Anyone can spaff forth upon the sheet, but it takes time to go over it and condense it down.

So true, but I was getting into the swing of it today Mistakes were made, but that's what the subs are for and everyone's work from the most hardened journalists in that company to the nubs gets their work sub-edited. So it's no great hardship

Sure, when there's something to see I will. I think the article I did on Monday got spiked. Not too sure yet. Didn't see it in yesterday's paper.

Possibly have something (a link) to post tomorrow, I was told I got a lead in one of the branch newspapers they run xD I am to be given a copy of the newspaper tomorrow. One more for the portfolio
