Help Firefox is Firefuxed

Don't know whats happened, but all my auto-logins for my forums and so on seem to have all dissappeared. As soon as i close the FF window i have to type them all in again.

Any ideas?

Assuming you haven't got some evil virus/trojan that is doing this to steal your passwords it is probably just a setting that has been changed. Have you installed any addons recently?

Go to preferences and look in the Privacy tab. Make sure that the "Always clear my private data when Firefox closes is NOT selected." You can also check the settings to see what private data gets cleared when you do clear your private data.

Also in the Security tab, under password check to make sure that the "Remember passwords for sites" is checked and check the exceptions to make sure that the forums etc you use are not on the list.

Both of those things are as you say they should be, but still it's not working.

All my passwords etc are still stored as i can see them all, and i've not had anything nasty recently.

vlad try doing an upload on something like flickr or image shack and are you using a 64bit OS?

Uploading seems to be fine - not sure what bittage my OS is though.

Tried disabling my extensions (Flashget & whatever the Java thing is) and all the plugins, and still no improvement. Currently running the Malware scan from your thread but nothing found yet.

I dont use Firefox but one problem I noticed IE has is a build up of cookies. Over time you start getting weird and wonderful problems regarding logon credentials not being remember. It seems if you have too many cookies (or possibly corrupted cookies) this causes the above problem.

There's no website i'm quoting from, just something I noticed when I used to work on the helpdesks.
