Hi.
Any ideas how to change the default search in firefox to google.co.uk from google.com?

I definitly have the UK english version installed and I have set keyword.url in about:config to google.co.uk

I also closed and re opened the browser.

Aaaaah! :ninja:

Not something I've ever had to do: could I perhaps suggest downloading & installing the GB:UK version specifically, as that does it all automatically?

Should work off IP geographical location. UK IP's get .co.uk. French get .fr and so on.

Onlys options i can surgest is to set home page to FF google url off.
Code:
http://www.google.co.uk/firefox?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official
and maybe edit search plug to reflect .co.uk instead of .com but if its bringing up a .com it may be an issue in your IP range rather then a FF problem.

type about:config into your Firefox address bar

Then look for keyword.URL and change it from .com to co.uk

By default Google loads the regional page based on your IP but you can alter the cookie to display the one you want (.co.uk)

Top right of firefox, next to the address bar is what he is talking about, not the default home page.

Yeah I mean the search box top right.
I have downloaded the specific GB UK version.
I have changed keyword.URL.
I have rebooted since these changes.
:(

I checked language settings in FF and en-gb is the default.

Must be a bug or got itself confused from when I had the beta installed or something?
Although I uninstalled and then installed again and it still happens :p

Mycroft Project: Google Search Engine Plugins - Firefox & IE7
Click either "Google UK - pages from the UK" or "Google UK - the Web" depending on if you want to search google.co.uk on all the web, or just pages from the UK.
Click Add.
Click the icon next to search box on the right, and click the option you added.
Done.

I looked for a plugin but your googling skills are better than mine.
