Firefox being a funny fuck

Right,

Is it my PC, or is it firefox - something is wrong.

Whenever I copy/paste or "CTRL + C" something in one Firefox window, perhaps a phrase I want to google for, and then go to another Firefox window it seems to "erase" whatever i have tried to copy since the "paste" option is greyed out.

If i highlight and right click "copy" then right click "paste" in another window it's fine, just CTRL + C doesn't appear to copy.

It's more an annoyance than anything, but does anyone know why or if indeed it can be fixed?

My firefox does this too at work - annoying as hell.

Trying the alpha of 2.0 and so far it hasn't happened yet.

Yes it's really f'cking annoying as now and again i CTRL+C, close the window, go to a google window and then can't paste.

Similarly if I want to paste URL's into irc, or another window or a forum post.

Not familar with the specific problem (although I do recall having some intermittant keyboard shortcut problems with Fx), but best advice is to start Firefox up in Safe Mode (without extensions) and see if it works them.

99% of my money would be on an extension fucking about. If you've installed anything new in the same timeframe as this problem, that would make it more obvious of course.
