firefox and GOA webpage problem

not sure if i'm the only one with a problem like this.
But i use firefox as my default browser, and it refuse too update the news session correctly.

It is still showing that last news posted was friday news, so i finally opened up IE6 and went to the website and noticed there has been 3 more news thread posted.

I then went back to firefox and THEN it showed the new news, anyone know what could be wrong?
Or is it just that firefox and goa website simply dont work very good together?

It is because firefox don't work very good. I got tired of their gecko rendering engine, when they rendered the same page differently with a version update and they claimed their rendering results is 100% standard based. Tried some CSS based layout with absolute coordinates, this way you can measure if items are positioned correctly (take a screenshot and you can check coordinates easily) and of course they were very far from the result.

They claim firefox/mozilla is secure, because it just installs plugins with full permissions, when IE would install active X controls with limited permissions, that can get a bit more permissions, and their list of cirtical holes are often longer than the list for IE.

Most IE specific holes can be fixed by external software, and even browsers built on top of IE rendering engine tend to fix some / most of them and have nice features. Case study: Maxthon.

Guess why I don't have this problem?

Show me one page that validates unde w3c that doesnt render to spec.

axtiveX controls are embeded in the OS, mozilla extensions arnt.
Mozilla blocks extension downloads form all but a few trusted sites, then still gives a warning and checks signatures. IE just click yes activeX popup thats it.

Right about any respectable security organisation has declared firefox a safe solution then IE

Not to mention goodies like adblok.

To be honest, either you want a safer slightly slower option, or a faster, pop-up plagued IE....

I prefer Firefox over IE to be honest, with IE I kept getting all spyware and crap, lots of those "search" bars popping up etc, Firefox I get none.

Prefer Firefox by a long way however I've always had problems on the GOA web pages. Not sure why but probably thier gross overuse of shitty flash anywhere and everywhere. Christ they even use it in the billing section.
