The website still seems to be giving me grief but I managed to get into the FTP site on the 2nd go via the command line FTP.

Im looking forward to being able to click on links in Outlook and having only 1 copy of firefox boot up. (And Im only using Outlook cos Im at work and we have an exchange server)

The theory is that extensions from this point on will remain compatible (until some major release, maybe 1.5, maybe 2.0). At the very least, the autoupdate will cover you and extension authors will get longer lead times to update and test their extensions.

Differences are subtle in 1.0 over the PR, but then this last stage was about polish and bug fixing. I'm excited to see what they may have planned for future releases, since they're somewhat free to try new features now.

I upgraded from .8 to 1.0 and it runs like utter turd in comparison >:|

Anyone else ruddy annoying performance issues?

How did you upgrade? Afaik the release notes list some problems when going from 0.8 to 1.0 without uninstalling first.
