Your definition of "everything" obviously differs from eveyone elses as i posed a question based on one fact, which subsecuently was right but in the wrong context which wasHeta said:you realy need to pay attention when watching it, as you clearly got everything wrong.
so it was a flashback or something?Elftor said:Your never shown how River was rescued in the show.
well it isnt exactly real lifeJeremiah said:Hehe, it must be one spooky series if 2 characters return from death to star in the series! Did anyone else feel sad when Walsh died?
i think the idea is that the TV series fits in somewhere in the middle.Chronictank said:so it was a flashback or something?

Mals attitude was hard to take for me, but I love the characters and every time I see the show on DvD or catch it every Thursday and Sunday on Sci-FiI get the little pain in my stomach of something that has been lost.
Great show and Joss has said that he has so much more to tell about the crew and the verse. Fingers crossed go by the stuff, make them sit up and take notice.
Corran said:Mals attitude in the film is how he was originally invisioned. He was always meant to be a bit darker/shader character then he was in the series, Joss had to "Sweeten" him up because of Fox.
In general they were fucked about in US. The pilot episode (Train robbery iirc) was pushed back because it made the series to "dark" and Joss wasnt allowed to do what he prefered in slowly building the characters up across the series. They wanted the characters to be instant. Which is a real shame when you look at his great abilities with charactism
What i hate most, and was cursing about series being cancelled because you knew it would eventually be answered is that about Shepherd Book's past. Though it wouldnt have been told at once, through out the next series or two further clues would have came out about who he was. At a guess though he was something to do with the Council.
