My warden is soon high enough to be able to xp on the dreaded fins, but im still an alb noob ny heart so I have some questions regarding these ;o

1. Is the xp really as good as people say?
2. Do I do a /who cursed forrest ect and then msg people about list?
3. So I'm on the list, but what now? Do I just sit in innis and wait for people to pick me up when im ready or should I go wait somewhere else? Or xp in EZ whilst waiting?

I know these questions probably have been answered a thousand times so please excuse me, I just wanted to know.

Thanks in advance.

1. The exp is far from great. And it's boring as hell, but at least it's easy and without risk.
2. Yes.
3. You get up early and sign up, if you don't, you won't get a spot probably. ;)

Arf, not a good thing when one is going through an education :)

What alternatives are there to fins? So far I've seen Marfach, tur suil (sp?) glimmer knights and summoners hall, but I don't really know if this will be good xp from 45-50 :)
Are there any better spots?

There's always the crim fins aswell, just make up a group and head out. But those places you mentioned are good xp all the way to 50, have dinged a few guildies at glimmer knights (one of my personal favourite spots ;)). Their bars were movin pretty fast....but then i was pullin 10 at a go sometimes. :p

xp'ing at fins is like settling for second best.

there is many, many better options, and certainly a lot more fun, but.. why bother, when you can just dull your brain doing something as boring as fins.

XP at glimmer knights is much better than fins. Fins are ok, they're steady XP, but they are incredibly dull. I was seriously almost asleep after a couple of hours of fins.

the only thing the fins list is good for is gauranteeing a group of 8 peeps, 24/7 and consistently mediocre xp.

there is nothing wrong with that at all, but dont rely on it to ding :)

and if u wait in innis u will have a long run to cursed forest when your spot is up

one of the best things to do is park at fins spot and play alt but make sure u dont get screwed over by list holder for your spot

or maby hunt in cm if u want to exp best place close enought to get exp safe and its not as far to go as innis

Fins exp is crap, but you can do them in your sleep.

Better exp can be found at: Siabra City, Darkness Falls, Tur Suill, Glimmer Knights, probably elsewhere but those are the best.

DF is the best safe exp in the realm (and is great for cash as well), tur suill is as good but only if you can handle the odd 8 pull of deep purple mobs.

Fins is good for steady xp , at least your guaranteed to stay a while , where xp'ing anywhere else is likely to fail because of a dentist trip/school/shopping etc , the usual crap that kills groups off . It's not that far from EZ to CF depending on where you bind , can bind in Domnann and port to DL or just DL and it's 2 horse trips to fins , whoever said it was a long way was'nt really thinking :p

Someone drew a nice graph of the exp dropoff at the fins over time. Negative camp bonus cause its just camped all the time.

I find fins groups exceptionally lazy, not suprising when some people have sat in the same spot pulling the same old mob for 5 hours solid.

As mr angrysquirrel says its good for steady exp, at least you know the groups not as likely to all splitup and pissoff once the bard decideds that hes got a 'guild thang' to goto.

Go Summoners hall and milk the insta spot before it gets nerfed next patch I say.

same as fins, but ofcourse it's many spots to camp there dependant on gruops lvl and if good pbaoe group etc....but mainly I'd say 43-50. It's exelent since u get dungeon bonus so some of camp bonus will never go away :D

and ofc some real good drops u can get

What is fast, and what isn't ?
Here are the figures I had being a level 49 in the Fins group. You can evaluate yourself if it's fast or not:
2nd bubble: 51 mins
3rd bubble: 46 mins
4th bubble: 50 mins
5th bubble: 61 mins (group wipe out)
6th bubble: 51 mins (group wipe out)
7th bubble: 48 mins
8th bubble: 60 mins
9th bubble: 53 mins

I don't have figures for 1st or 10th bubble. All times include everything (down time, rezz's, waiting for other changes of char's, etc), so it's real playing time.

Apart from exp, you get money, loot and Firebrands. I had during my 13 bubs exp over there 10 Firebrands worth 100 G each.

Fins isn't fun, but it was fast once I was in the group. See for yourself if you want to do it or not. I didn't like it, but I was happy to see that I hit lvl 50.

Summoners hall is still better xp better money and better/more loots, and waaaaaay more fun. Only prob is that if someone have to go it can be hard get a rep, so fins are more "stabile" and will go on and go on and go on etc....but if u got a gorup u know gonna stay a while I would rather go EZ or summoners hall. And don't forget the eternety u have ot wait to get into fin gorup :m00:

Soulie I mentioned SC ofc (after all where else did Armo get most of his 45+ exp? :) )

Its just that DF is better. And you can do DF even if your group isn't skilled enough to handle the occasional wandering cronies, but thats an extra bonus.

Never exped in summoners though, but its gonna have a hard time beating DF in terms of cash and exp.

As for exping time, DF is roughly 30 - 40 mins a bubble when you get into the right spot, depends on afk breaks etc of course.

EZ about the same as the fins, but more fun and better loot.

SC not much faster than fins due to having to deal with accidental queen / croni pulls unless you do RWs, which are not so good for loot but nice exp.

90% mobs cap on exp, so about twice as much exp as there is at fins, and they are as quick to fight really. Get a bard to use instas to pull, its faster than using a bow and arrows, and longer range than a champ.

Crim fins have a bit of a renaissance now, due to the outpost bonus, but only CF get the whole 20% bonus the buggers.

Also Far Darochas are good, about the same rate as fins as they only come in 2s but are higher level. They can also be done in smaller groups due to only coming in 2s.

The hard bit is getting to the spawn, for this youll need a group that can tank some hefty purple mobs (above fin level) and someone that knows how to get you their alive ;)

Once you get to the insta spawn is a mixed bunch of creatures (orange-purp to 50's), lower than fins, but compensated by rvr dungeon exp bonus, if you have a good enough group you can stand in the insta spawn and see how long you can insta pull for (did 40 mins once).

imo you need a roughly decent fg around level 44 to get to the spot but once you are there two of the group can log or afk without any problems.

If you have a really strong group (46+ scale tanks) then you can take nobles and zombies from the next room for uber exp, though they are a slow pop and youll need to spend the majority of your time on the insta site.
