if you looking at crim doors from the outside - run to the slope behind crim, turn right, and follow the slope for a bit. Not a wise place to XP, as every solo group running into hibernia goes past there to check.

total n00b that i am ;)

go to crim (unsurprisingly :)), then head south west till you see the road, go south south east along the road until you reach the wraith drakes in the stones, then look to your east, up the slope are some trees, fins are all over there :)

here's a map to make following those directions a little easier:

Got in a fins Group today with my lvl41 Chanter (cuz i was the only chanter online) and my Damage Output was around 120-300.
They resisted maybe 40% of my spells.

Isn't that bad but not enough to join a fins Group on a regular basis.
lvl 43 should be the lowest limit to make the Group effective.

During the week its a pain in the butt for me to get any exp at all. I'm currently lvl 47.3 - still (due to longer RL-caused downtimes in playing) - and I kinda gave up hope on getting to 50 in the near future.

I'm at university most of the day, getting home by 5pm cet earlierst, and if I get put on fins list at that time I can just as well forget about it.

As for secondary groups: many listholders refuse to give out names, this weekend we have even been blamed to be in an illegal (!!) fins group when we made a second one as first was overcrowded. We made great xp at second fins spot in CF which doesn't affect primary group AT ALL and I would bet we were more succesful than the primary group, so there IS a good alternative. Just quite hard to get people to take it really :(

Like today, I got no xp at all even tho I was online for more than 6h. First list holder ignored me totally (added that nuthead to my now quite long blackilst), then I was put as 4th on list... oh well... means never.

Tried innis, nobody wanted me, then I got invitations to lvl 35-40 groups but sorry... that's almost as slow as soloing then.

So I gave it up at certain point... played alts, watched TV, did some RvR, but the point is: it is HELL to get to lvl 50. Even for a druid, about who everyone says he is soooo needed in groups all the time.

Well...

He isn't, obviously.

Have to admit, I agree with the fact that fins are boring, but.. through my xping experience, the fins have tbh been the quickest most reliable source of xp post 43 for me so far. I have had lots and lots of help from all my friends over the months, and have had lots of fun with Knights, Warshades etc,. but, I have to be completely honest, whenever I have xp'd in 2 Grp Ventures, IE Dual Knights groups, the xp, in both grps has been sub standard. (of course I enjoyed these times and wouldnt exchange them for 5 hours of fins for the world, but I am commenting xp only)

The quickest and most fun xp is 1 fg at knights.
2 high level pb's, 1 bard who's not afraid to pull, the obvious warden and drood, 2 tanks and a leech and you can survive being double scouted on a pull.

I know how you feel, I've only ever had 1 fins group. Then again there's tons of bards kicking about and groups usually never take 2 :)

Couldn't agree more, fins are boring as hell, but there are certain trends in Hib that I fail to understand..........

1. Everbody wants fins grps, when knights and Siabra City are waaay more XP and Way more fun, admittedly at SC you need to be 44+ but why does everybody want a fins grp and then get unhappy when they don't get one cause it has a HUGE list to get in. There are much more fun places to hunt with much better xp.

2. Everybody seems to go to CM these days almost as soon as they leave the sprag den.......... now I realise I dont have an alt that has made it past Sprag den days, but why does everybody seem to consider Triebh as a no go XP area, (exept solo rogue classes), some of the best fun I had xp'in my main was in triebh and the xp rocked!

Not often I post, but these two things I just don't get.

If you can't get on the fins list, start a grp, go to SC or go to EZ there is more to Hib than staring at the same 4 trees in CF going through the same click, stick, taunt (and what ever you non-tank classes do ;p)
