True, it's the same at most live action role-play events you go to, most of them are in high paid jobs or are teachers :p. That and there also seems to be a vast majority of dyslexic role-players, must have something to do with the creativity or something.

Actually, us LRPers seem to be pretty much a mixture of all kinds of jobs...the creativity and not fitting in is a common factor though.

Sorry i just can't understand why people have to take the piss when we we're discussing/contributing stuff to the conversation. That and it annoys me when people with no actually concept of how you play said game try to take the piss.

On another note, my lot are starting a new COC campaign soon i think, should be a good laugh have no idea what i'm going to play yet.. But i'm sure i'll think of something.

Do you want to be the car then?

Taking the piss doesn't bother me as much as pointless name calling :)

Those people who just post comments about homosexuality within the navy just make me laugh as they clearly have no idea about their history (maybe they don't want to know - fine - but to me its fascinating to see how our race has evolved)
i think it was more a playful jibe which you made a deal out of so they kept pushing tbh, in their defence you started all the name calling by saying they are ignorant when it was pretty obvious (to me anyway) it was a joke

mm guess so, but i meant ignorance in the subject at hand rather than complete ignorance over all matters :) unless were talking about Gamah, who has trouble figuring out how much rent to pay for Waterworks when his opponent holds that and electric company. :touch:

Somewhere in europe there is a more serious larp event, one where you have to send pictures of yourself first so they can see that you are a 'serious' player, at least thats what they wanna make every outsider believe, because actually its a :sex: larp :p

"ORC SMASH CUTE LITTLE ELF"
"oh please dont kill me, ill do everything you say!"
"......OK!"

(no joke btw)

Tears the OO sailor thing was a joke that we all used to do in the Army to the officers i in no way implied that the Navy were all homos. Tho i am reading a book about an ex SAS dude (factual) and he was based on a certain ship during the Falklands and the entire ship were gay. Oh and an old clubbing mate of mine was in the Navy for years and he is also a gayer.

Make of that what you will :D

and mey lol you know what Gamah is like hehe. Oh and i also go to "Trance" clubs (well Hard house etc but i dont expect you will know what that is) but i dont "pop pills"

Well I think some of you are justified in calling us RP'ers mad.

Last night was going really well, until we woke up the hosts 3yr old daughter at 10.00, it just got to a point in the game where two of us were arguing "in character" but we were both so absorbed in the game it became quite loud and heated heated - opps :) poor kid.

Did you make the little brat walk ya plank?

nope, little brat used his brains - the day turned out better than expected.

To summaries 3hrs

Evil brother arrived as a passenger
"snotty appleby" convinced his superiors that evil brother was .. urm... evil
evil brother recognizes little brat and starts to have a hissy fit
little brat senses his brothers rage and subtly provokes him further
evil brother erupts in a violent outburst
evil brother gets arrested and locked in the hold as the captain sees him as a danger to the ship and its voyage

You know what is sad, I've spent so much time researching this that when I started to read C S Foresters midshipman hornblower - im understanding a good 90% of the terms used.

heave the braces, set square sail, larbord tacking, stow the topgalliants, cut the gaskets

I wont even mention the fact I can name all the sails on a square rigged ship - mm I just did, ok i am SAD ! :)

But look at it this way, if we all fell through a time hole back to the 1800's I'd pwn you all.
