Nevermind the title, it just has to be said.

Now i need to talk some bollocks here to avoid the floaty thing to reveal any spoilers, though no doubt everyone on earth has seen it before me.

I only wanted to see my favourite hero since yei high *points at floor level* kick some batman arse.

Is this enough text? If not, i'll cme back and edit some in.

In short, i was quite right in my assumption; the character made the actor. Sure, great actor, great job, but easily replaced. Even could bring joker back for an encore with a different actor(even with a million people whining about the thing you all know). The character, just what i loved in old old comics, down to the bone. Exiting hospital? Just epic. Epic.

Batman, same annoying f*cktard with a smoking problem that disappears somewhere, come on, drop down a notch with the arararrarrrrrrrr talk.

Twoface, nice arch from --> to. Though i think tommy did it better. Would've needed a bit mroe, funk in him.

And there ya go. Good movie, nothing spectacular, hopefully f*ckwits at hollywood will bring joker back NO MATTER what the over-praisers of the actor say.

Oh, just an addition, he WAS good as joker, just not irreplacable.

I thought it was funny how his voice was super deep/throaty when he was in batman mode...maybe he is allergic to the rubber?

I thought the Harvey Dent--->two face arc was aweful, although i did lol when this guy next to me upson seeing him for the first time with his face half melted went 'omg it's two face!11'

Have to disagree with the character making the actor comment as well, just look at how differently Nickolson and Ledger played the joker, both amazing performaces of the same character, it is what you make of it. Perhaps we have just been spoilt having those two actors play him.

I'd have to watch it again, but I am fairly certain he has some device to change his voice in the first one.

It's all him talking for the second one; not sure about the first if he had a voicebox or not (doubtful though). Post-Ledgers death Christian Bale talked of how they'd both do a scene together then walk off laughing about how weird the situation was of them both dressed up talking in weird voices to each other.

You can hear/see him having to take regular breaths because of the stress that kind of vocal sound makes on your throat. If there was anything about the film I thought should have been toned down, it was his voice when in bat mode though!

That's rather the point, as the dark joker and the nicholson joker were two different versions. They did great jobs both, but they are not as irreplacable as the media/people make this guy be.

No problems in bringing a new actor in for it. IF they had the f*cking balls...

No, brother back and he's the "let's go cinema" guy, i don't bother but go along :D

Also would like to dd that i disliked the cinemagraphy, or something, camera angles etc 'cause it seemed to film a tweety bird instead of what was going on and ALSO...i despise from the bottom of my sould the person who decided Joker is a "side character".

You know what i mean, he wasn't the lead villain. More screentime, more fun, more Joker. Not some emo-man and his unsationable love for a teenpus

rofl what amanita said!!

this guy came in the library the other day and had a kitty hoody on, it had little cat ears and everything he looked so damned cute!

anyhoo, i always find it amusing how when charatcers change form being normal self to alter ego their hair usually ends up being gelled (peter petrelli...superman...peter parker ...need i go on?) and this lead me to the conclusion that when you assume an alter ego your brain has to work so hard to keep up the character it actually sweats so it isn't hairgel...its brain sweat!

haven't seen dark knight yet but will when its out at the library, though personally i will always love michael keaton as batman...just...so...good!

You'll probably crucify me for this but i've always thought he worked better as a side character. Batman has to "win vs the baddie" and by keeping him as the side character it actually means he can win without upsetting the whole good vs evil dynamic.
The true evil genious should always realise that being the side character means the hero is off killing someone else, not you.

Oh no crucification here.

I'd agree if it was a "series of movies", but when finally joker returns to the silver screen, and is put to a side role, it kinda irks me personally, that all :D

Good point, and yes, usually joker works like that, avoiding big confrontations as, well, he's no more super then batman. Nicely potrayed in this movie too.

Also loved the fact that Joker is, just Joker. No ID, no past, no "how he became to be". As it bloody well should.

Here's to hoping for another Joker sooner then 10 years, and here's to the evident(other favorite), riddler that should be in next one :drink:

They also expected Heath to be around for more movies no doubt, his line at the end about the unstoppable force meeting the unmovable object sums up their whole relationship. They will always be enemies.

I thought ledger's joker was superb in its own right, he made it his own in his own style, to think someone else could not come in and do a job would be silly I agree with you. Not the next movie though (well maybe a scene after the credits of him escaping or something) but deffo after that.

Aye, and well, one could "explain" the change in demeanor/looks(slight look change) by saying that ARcham is a very very bad place :D

Just hope some hollywood guy sees it the same and doesn't buckle under "no heath god!" pressure.

Funny thing is that Joker could be a bit more evil still :flame:
