Finally took my camera out for a session of photgraphy last night and this was one of the better ones that i took. No photoshop just a two hour session fiddling with different settings.

I hope you like. I will post more when i have time to reduce some more of them.

very nice

Something for you to try...

Make sure you are on a tripod, drop the shutter speed down right down past 0.3, actually i'd go as far down as 3 seconds. You will end up with very nice effects

Nice Pic Tierk. Taken from Marriot hotel or close by? Seen the same view many times across the bay looking at the Sheraton (pyramid).

Uncle of mine is quite famous for photograhy on Flickr mainly for macro photography using Canon gear. About to go digital myself with a new cannon. Finally laying the old EoS 10 to rest. Although all the old Ultrasonic lenses will still be useful.

This is with tripod and i was fiddling with the settings - aperture, shutter speed, white balance amongest other things.

Had such variation with the pictures it was unreal and a lot of the pictures where totally useless - thank god for digital cameras as i would have spent a fortune on the films with the analogue.

Those are some amazing pictures on those links mate.

The location is not at the Marriot or even near it - on a local scale - probably about 5 km's from there along the bay. Its a awesome view at night and tbh the one i have posted isnt the best of the lot. There are a couple i have that have some really amazing colors reflecting on the sea.

Cameras are amazing these days. You can buy a phone with an 8mp camera on it now. Good heavens ! My digital camera's 5mp and weighs the same as a brick !
