*cough*daoc*cough*

never played the ff series. Console games generally wind me up. I always rated Baldurs Gate and neverwinter nights very highly tho

WOW is pretty good too as a solid rpg. Shame about the end game tho.

FF series = my favourite games.. ever :) FF7&FF6 have dated graphics now, but still amazing storylines and fun mini-games, sidequests. FF8 great story, and perhaps best mini game - the card game. FF9 had good story and good mini-games, the final fantasy i least preferred, and FF10 and 10-2 were just awsome, my opinion anyways.. :)

Yeh overdriven i agree FF7 is best, just some of my mates never gave it chance because of the old graphics compared to todays good graphics :)

In order of best to worst :
FF7
FF10
FF9
FF8
FF6
FF10
FF10-2
FF-tactics

changed my mind on 9, it was a really fun playthrough .. :)

It's probably why Squaresoft (allegedly) may be looking to update the graphics for the PS3 (although it likely was simply a tech vid) to open up their most praised FF game to a new crowd.

Yeh, i'd love to see a revamped FF on ps3 with really high quality graphics, would be SUCH a good game then imo :)
Oh yeh, forgot to say FF online was such a poor imitation at final fantasy its laughable, and crystal chronicles wasnt the best either :(

WHAT!?

FF-Tactics the worst? Dear god, Tactics was absolutely fantastic, had one of the best storylines in the FF world to be quite honest with you. :twak:

I agree that X-2 was shit though. :p

Also why is FFX on the top and bottom? :eek7:

Will vote no aswell.

Im not a fan of eastern RPG's they aren't very freeform and most are turn-based , yeah thats fun, also the damm random encounters what the hell, so stupid. Give me a western RPG anyday, like the Elder Scrolls or Dungeon Siege series, well maybe not Oblivion far to short and narrowminded, but Daggerfall and Morrowind a big fat yes, now Morrowind thats a RPG your dropped in the middle of nowhere with a slight clue of the main story, then thats it , how brillant is that you make your own story then and I know later you become an uber guy who can kill things in one hit from a fireball or conjure 15 monsters to fight for you, but its the journey to get to that thats so great. Unlike the FF series in that once you have finished the main story thats it credits roll and you begin again, whats the fun in that.

Well i vote that FF7 was one the few games thta i gone back to and played far to many hours on but worth it.
and seeing the little clips of FF7 on the PS3 making me think about getting it.
all depends on what you like out a a RPG any way to your taset, what FF7 gave to me was ok gfx but the story and game play was just some thing else
secret of mana on the snes was a bit liek that as well and took ages to finish.
better than tehese game that you buy ad finish in 2 weeks.
Fable for all its was a good game far to short and finished in no time
Xenogears was a great agme as well some one said about it earlyer,
but back to FF7 the game i felt you got to know and care about the char's and what happend to them, was upset when the arial thing happend lol.
aldso FF AC was a great film for any fan for some ne else maybe not get it the same but for me loved it.(even on jap first lol)
