Final Fantasy 7 is available on PC. The graphics etc will be outdated but the game is legendary.

Of Course, Final Fantasy XIII Is PC Bound! [Updated] - final fantasy XIII - Kotaku

Kotaku updated there initial article with this statement straight from Square:
Update: We contacted Square Enix, and according to the company, "The game is being built using PC-based development tools, but that doesn’t mean it’s being created for the PC platform. Our current plans are to release FFXIII for the PS3 and Xbox 360 only. Sorry for the confusion!" So to recap, it's being created with PC-based dev tools, but with plans only for PS3/Xbox 360 console release.

Just FF7 and FF8 (FF11 also, but it's an MMORPG). If you were going to choose between 7 and 8, choose 7, because 8 is dire.

Prefer 8 myself, both are spectacular but 8 has a little more to it and aside from the main character who is an utter douche I think 8 also has better characters.

You can find either on ebay, though a little pricey. There is always the emulator route.
7 and 8 (and rumour has it, 9 soon) are on the PsP too.

I think you would prefer the careless "Do it yourself, whatever" attitude instead of an energetic light worshipper hero who wants to save the world. I think FF13 heroin resembles FF8 hero.

FF8 has the best storyline.

Uhhh... if it had an ending that even made some sort of sense? Seriously. Someone explain the ending of FF8 and you will win the internet.

Not to mention a cast of awful characters, a shitty romance, and probably the worst character customisation system of a Final Fantasy. Oh yeah, using Draw over and over again was fucking fantastic.

I guess it did give us the amazing "Man With The Machinegun".

edit for awesomeness:

I disagree with everything you said. Well, the draw thing was stupid..

But can you explain how it ended? :)

It was a long time since i played it, but i remember following the storyline and understanding it. The ending was very emotional and almost left me in tears. So i loved it. It left you wondering a bit. But it was too long ago and i dont remember the exact details to be able to explain it.

i have ff7 for pc... good game but ofc it doesnt work now cos incompatibility...

can even get the older 1-5 games using emulator.. but if u gonna go down the emulator route, may as well just get Grandia 2... coz it pisses all over FF7 tbh.

Thats correct m8, but spin-polarized gaseous Bose-Einstein condensates were confined by a combination of gravitational and magnetic forces. The partially condensed atomic vapors were adiabatically decompressed by weakening the gravito-magnetic trap to a mean frequency of 1hertz, then evaporatively reduced in size to 2500 atoms. This lowered the peak condensate density to 5 x 1010 atoms per cubic centimeter and cooled the entire cloud in all three dimensions to a kinetic temperature of 450 ± 80 picokelvin.

Is this an explanation to FF8's ending? It looks like it.

Reading this just made me pay 25 quid on ebay for the PS1 version, I hate you all for making me do this. I will now lose a good few days of my life.

Secretly though, I love you for making me buy it!

After selling my ps2 with ff7 and itching to play the ff7 again I baught it for pc but if you do you will need a few patches as there are a few bugs which will crash the game.

I have baught the ff13 for the ps3 on Friday and still yet to play it. Is it any good?
