Filming for new bond film has begun

Another Bond is just around the corner, at the moment it has no name, just Bond20

Brosnan's contract has recently been extended to five films. This would be his.... fourth (?)
He's well suited to the role, imo... And John Cleese taking over as the main gadgeteer should prove interesting.

This will be his fourth, so the one after this (#21) will be his last.

He's been the best since Connery, pity to see him pack up.

So who do you reckon should be the next Bond?

how much do we bet that Song will pay them to call it "Agent Under Fire" ?

a better name would be: "Attack of the clones" where Bond gets to outsmart all the bond villains of the past 30 years in a post-millenial blood fest. Sadly that name was already taken so a great and involving Bond plot goes to waste...

Tbh I can't remember watching many of Connery's films... Pierce cuts it best, IMO; though Dalton was also very good.

He ain't, he said at the weekend he was quitting after the next film to be made (not this one filming now but one after would be his last), as he felt he is getting on a bit too much now for the role.

Probably right too, cos the next one won't be filmed yet for another 3/4 years at least, by which time he'll be 53, so if he was to stay on for at least another he'd be touching on for nearly 60.

Aye, connery was the best, and brosnan really has lived up to the 007 role.

Even though some of the bond films are a little predictable / corny (however u spell it) i still think there great and im really looking forward to seeing this one later this year.

I like Timothy Dalton - he was good, and The Living Daylights had a kick ass fight scene (hanging off the back of the plane?)

My favorite Bond scene is where he is in the water and he harpoons the seaplane, waterski's behind it and then highjacks the plane. Sheer class, but I can't remember which film its from - maybe Thunderball?

I can't believe that You Only Live Twice isn't in your top 5 Xenon

Hehe.

George Lazenby was a more memorable Bond than Moore. 007 is meant to ooze charisma, not schmooze.

Fave Bond film was GoldenEye, the film that resurrected the franchise after quite a few years out of public favour.

Aye they are, but that's part of the attraction, you know more or less what you're gonna get before seeing it, so the films have become like a pair of comfy old slippers. Albeit Slippers with a licence to kill

Brosnan is, arguably, the best portrayer of Bond. Ian Fleming's character was a little colder than that played by Connery, and certainly not the clown played by Moore. Lazenby was awful, but Dalton did an ok-ish (if bland) job of it.

As a young lad, I went and saw "Diamonds Are Forever" when it came out in the cinema way back in 1971, and I saw "Live And Let Die" (1973) and "The Man With The Golden Gun" (1974), "The Spy Who Loved Me" (1977) and "Moonraker" (1979) when they came out too.

All but one are dear old Roger, must be why he encapsulates Bond so much for me, I am convinced Ian Fleming intended his hero to be able to raise one eyebrow at a time.
