I think I'm going to have to say RotK, although that's partially because I only saw it on Tuesday, so it's still fresh in my mind.

For me it would have to be Finding Nemo.

I haven't either and even though RotK would be great I think Nemo would still just about edge it for me due to the the fact its funny and enjoyable.

I'm still undecided on it. The story seems stronger this time around, but the characters are nowhere near as compelling.

I'm having problems remembering what films were shown in 2003...

I've not seen LOTR ROTK but I have a feeling this be it!

Thinking about it, I've actually seen more films this year than I at first thought. Anything I've had to try hard to remember is excluded... which leaves Return of the King. Suprise. ;)

About Schmidt was a very good film, although I'm inclined to say that ROTK was the film I most enjoyed this year.

Either Matrix Revolutions or Kill Bill vol 1.

Return of the King, followed by Kill Bill and then Master and Commander.

Kill Bill was indeed an excellent film, and probably gets into the top 3 films of the year - I think RotK clinches the top spot though.

I don't know about Kill Bill... was very enjoyable at the time. I bought the soundtrack only hours after. It certainly had huge amounts of style to it.

Ohh 2 pages and no-one has suggested some obscure arthouse/anime movie in an attempt to make us all look common and "mainstream".

*waits for ECA*

EDIT~ That's not the name of a poncy arthouse film - but probably should be.

Tbh I've not seen many very good films, but Mystic River (of the ones I can remember) is the best.

It's not arthouse, but it's better than all the blockbuster crap you lot are mentioning! :D

I'm gonna say Narc (technically it's 2002, but it was released over here in 2003 :)) because it rocked my world.

Went to love actually a couple of weeks ago and I must admit that, even though I am not for british movies, it was a great laugh.

RotK or either of the 2 Matrix films have been my fave this year.

Ain't seen PotC or Kill Bill (waiting for the DVDs of both KB volumes to come out so I can watch it as one film, the way it should've been).

You actually *shudder* liked The Matrix Reloaded?! Poor fool.

Reloaded was almost infinitely better* than Revolutions

*unless you hold Dragonball Z to be the finest manga/anime
