Fileplanet subscribers can now retrieve their key and download the 12gb beta client in time for the start of the open beta on the 1st of May.

It seems they will be offering 2 batches of keys per day up to a maximum of 50,000 keys.

Ye-es, but Vanguard was setup to fail - pandering to a l33t target market does not equal sales.

I just worry slightly about the first few days on the servers but thats pretty much the story for any game.

So the beta page it says "First come first served" even says its judged on "Pacific time" but it doesnt give u a time keys are being distributed? so what? we just have to sit there spamming refresh ?

No - you download comrade then add the fileplanet person and it gives you a warning when keys come out - was a batch around this time yesterday.

Wierd that they havn't gone this route though. I mean award "loyal" customers who pre-order with a beta spot instead of useless fileplanet kids that go through betas like underwear and never end up playing them anyway. Guess FP is a good way of getting free PR, having beta spots come with pre order would make for a much higher preorder rate, and there securing revenue.

Yea, download "Comrade" its at the right side of the screen down on the bottom u install it (its like msn) add it and follow the steps toa dd "Teamfileplanet" it will automatically send u a message when beta key is available.
