as mod I do not have a counting vote, however I would have chosen milou's number 2 pic, as it most embodies city for me (and I find the pic awesome)

Bigbb's as it sums up cities perfectly. Potentially a collosal number of buildings, people, generally everything around as the beating heart of a city yet it encapsulates the irony of loneliness that such a place brings in the big scheme of things.

Every large city I goto I feel the same...nobody really talks in the street, as bus stops etc for fear of mugging or worse yet you can go into the majority of towns and it's a very different atmosphere so even if you are there alone, you don't feel so.

Probably wasn't what he was talking the photo for but that's the good thing about photography... everyone sees a potentially different story when looking at the same photo. It says more to me then the rest despite the fact there are a number of awesome photos there.

Totally different for me, people, hazzle, lights, never sleeping, action, concrete and some trees that look at you as if they're gonna go "What?!" at any second. It's lovely

As such, sparx embodies it quite nicely(even if not perfect, river, ngh) with all the light and colors and such.

Tierk ahs the cooler picture though.

But i'm going with Sparx.

Sockstuff's picture is visually impressive, but isn't a patch on Milou's composition and colour.

It captures a British city for me; grey, dull, smokey (i know that sounds negative, but i don't mean it like that). Top effort mate.

Sockstuff's picture is also a good night city shot, except that I find it too "busy". The buildings in the middle that are chopped off at the top ruin it for me; and the barrel distortion of the building on the left also distracts my eye although it does have potential.

For me Sockstuff's photo relies solely on it being night time - there's nothing in there other than "look at the pretty lights."
