This is my one of my favourite pictures. I like it because of the expression on the man's face, which seems a bit at odds with his very authentic SS uniform, and the attitude the BBC was having over that show he was at that year.

I remember going to one of those big militaria shows (somewhere in Kent I think) a few years ago; I have to say all the guys who got their jollies at weekends by dressing up as Nazis creeped me out quite a bit. The ones who dressed as GIs were strangely better looking, and less fat, than the Nazis (and actually had a few women prepared to associate with them).

Back on topic, I think Will's choice of subject might have been a bit ambitious; maybe something a little less nebulous next time...
