WinMX was always scraping the barrel of file-shares though, so comparing this Soulseek lark to it isn't a thoroughly good indication. Still, I might try it.

Find some good hubs on Direct Connect++ (many UK ones), and enjoy the ease and speed at which you can get your stuff, theres even an AudioGalaxy hub!

soulseek is good for .........sampling........... albums. kazaa is good if your after individual songs. and you do have to look a bit but you can find the vast majority of the audio files your after

WinMX excels for "Transfer failed" messages, it only seems to work if you get a "Connected, negotiating..." message within about 2 seconds of asking it to download the file. Good selection if you use a good server list, just a shame you can't actually get hold of any of it.

I'm going to be having sex with you Scooba. Soulseek is lovely. Hundreds of results returned, where Kazaa and Audiognome fell down at about 3 and 25, respectively. its also SillyFast© - My modem is maxing out on one file. Oh, and its also dead easy to use, excellenté.

The only thing I've yet to find on Soulseek is 6X - Kung Pow, but given its on neither amazon or cdnow, I'll forgive it, as I venture boldly into the musical Shangri-La.
