funnily enough if you actually read the artical it's got nothing to do with feminism and everything to do with analying the changing needs of the SWAT team and the possbile extra chance of women getting in is a byproduct.

I don't see them saying anywhere they'll have different admission standards for women. What I read was that they're changing the admission standards for everyone with less emphasis on physical fitness and more on qualities in which women are generally better. These qualities are claimed to be necessary as well, but currently underemphasised.

Or did I read it all wrong?

Nah Feminism has not gone to far, we are living in a great society where both parents can give fuck all in what their kids are doin. Its the goverments job to raise the kids while the parents fuck around spewing out more poop machines that one day will rob you blind when you are out walking after a round at the pub.

Only way to get equal rights i either make it so men can give birth, or make it so that women can't.

I just love thoose normal women who let you treat them like they are special.

The point was that it didn't work (or not as good as it should, the incident where the girl being held hostage got shot). Thus they changed the procedure.

Actually i think it's more towards a theory i'm cooking up about forum discussions only working if people are against eachother

So, agreeing with valid points would kill it.

Ofc people ignore valid points! Aknowledging valid points by someone who opposes you makes it much harder to argue against them! Take the invalid points and make a fool of them and your view will look better than theirs

Its the same bollocks they had about armed police in Britain.

Only a select amount of people can qualify for the training, let alone pass the demands of the course. SO19 are very selective about who they take on, especially due to the amount of crap they have to carry. Same for SWAT, they should not reduce the requirements, for reasons of sexual equality or any other hashed up crap to appease Mr and Mrs Right.

If you can't pass the requirements set, then that doesn't make it unfair, it just makes you out of shape, and just not good enough. Life sucks, get over it and try something else. I'd fail the SO19, but i'm not going to ask them to drop the requirements for me. Screw that, the requirements mean I wont enter, and wont get killed in the line of duty for being a lard-arse.

Course, in this instance its Lard-Breasts, but you get the idea.

For instance here in Denmark, if you want to hire someone for a job, it is illegal to hire only for 1 gender, but it is rarely acted on if they only hire women, while it is an immidiate disaster if someone only hires men.

actually that practice has been going on for a long long time within the "pædagogmedhjælpers" they all want men and they hire almost exclusivly males, But there is actually a reason for it, and thats that the pedagog profession is dominated by women, and therefor the eisiest and quickest way of introducing men into the variouse kindagardens/and after school cares is to hire male pædagogmedhjælpers,

I still dont like the idea of hirering by preference of gender or race.
as niether in them selvs are a qualification for anything "ok porn excluded"

the blacks in say southafrica where at a disatvantage due to years and years of apartied, the correct cause imo should have been to prioritize education of the black comunity and especially the young generation so they would have the same oportunities as the whites of south africa. the idea at the begining was that if you had two people "one black, one white" with the same qualification the black would get promoted infront of the white to even out the playing field, "well fair ? dono thats up to the every person to deside for them selvs" but as with alot of things that look great on paper you can imagine that this is not how it was implemented....

I'm fairly sure this isn't rocket science..

The threads about religion and stuff go on for pages because people have differing opinions and so there's a discussion there.
A thread saying 2+2=4 really has no where to go. Once you've posted your Vlad's a perv comment then there's very little else to keep the thread alive if it stays on topic.

It's not just forum discussions either.. Try having a conversation with someone in real life about a subject and see how long it lasts with 2 people, one that agrees with you and one that doesn't..
