.......erm ..... as for actually being of assistance mate id go for either SoM or FW whicheva fills the gap, also for Gem Golm is an obvious one but maybe eerie darkness lighting jewel +3 of every resist comes in handy

Triggerhappy had a good point, an open jewel slot in an archery template calls for golm at first - unless you happen to come across a really good replacement for it. I wouldn't go for SoM although, I would mostly take the cloak for it's proc, but as an archer you hopefully won't need it, tbh try looking up some rogs instead, sometimes they tend to beat arti's. As for the bracer CB would be a good choise, a little resist, a little dex and dex cap and of course it's mezz/stun feedback - so far I've found it worth it's bracer slot.

Do stealth classes need that ? maybe if they get up close with a shield specced scout to avoid slam but is it worth a full gem slot ?

If golm provides immunity from 1 mezz for example its beneficial for those people running a fg who meet an enemy fg head on but for rangers ..they will more than likely only get mezzed if they are kitting from enemies after killing that groups caster for example .. in which case he will prolly have 5 plus people chasing him ( with speed ) and they WILL mezz him again even if he resists the first to catch him -

and resisting an effect still counts as combat so the time for u to be out of combat to stealth again restarts .. I think.

If I was an alb or mid then I would have it cause the hib casters would quick cast base line stun but I just dont see a need to waste a whole jewel slot for it on a ranger when he wont need it half as often as he might a few resists or extra hits or caps -

if im wrong - plz correct me cause im interested to know :p

Personally I dropped GOLM alltogether, the Banish Fear charge will reset your camo timer (at least for another patch or 2) which is invaluable for sneaking into a tower/keep past assassins and archers if you wanna earn some easy RP's. It don't work against shield slam, and when it comes to sorcs, they just spam that mezz anyhow, and golm gives no immunity timer, so the second mezz will work on you. Plus having Golm in the jewel slot will make it almost impossible to swap in a stardrop for that buff bonus and keep an eye on your timers. I think a stardrop and another rog armour piece swapped in to give 25% buff bonus before throwing up your PF buffs will give you better dmg than the archery bonuses you'll get from GOLM.

The only reason to get it is the archery bonuses, by using an non arti bow and chestpiece you pretty much have nothing in the way of options for toa archery bonuses, they can be a pain to do, but I realy would recommend getting gsv and fools if you plan on playing a bow ranger. Considering the time you will spend camping golm, getting fools at least to my mind is a better option.

The dot on fools and it's bonuses will give much better dps than the ML9 bow even after it debuffs, and it can be easily swapped for immolated, which considering you'll be firing at already thrust vuln scouts in sieges alot, makes its thrust debuff even better.

I'm also a fan of band of stars in the bracer slot, fairly decent Dex cap increase and the spraggonator /use2 is just plain fun, and like the /use it does dmg and interupts, which is handy against casters and for popping assassins outta stealth before they perf you if you are fast enough.

Enough of my waffle, here's a first attempt in bow mode and in melee mode

The deimo dagger is about 8 - 10p in housing, has very nice utility and a STR/CON debuff proc, which although a little buggy this version is sorted next patch.
