first one is processor load average over 1 minute, 2nd is over 5 minutes and 3rd is over 15 minutes.
put it this way: normal load over 1 minute is around 0.50 to 2.00 - 5.00 is high, 10.00 we'd look at it. But this time some eejit ran a script without checking it on our live server and it had an infinate 3 iteration loop in it (no checking = bad) by accident and within 15 mins the dual 3ghz machine with 2 gig of eec ram was falling over itself with a processor load 100x more than it should be. It took 8 minutes just to TYPE "init 6" (linux command to restart) then another 5 minutes before it actioned it.
