Anything but kill bill....

I'm not sorry about that opinion! And i liked the remake of rollerball for f*dges sake....

It's just...bad. Mostly because of the annoying, ear ripping, stomach wrenching music but...*shivers*

But i do like Milla movies, don't think i've seen one that i wouldn't buy. 5th element being one that you can watch over and over. But the director IS pure gold too. Umm...name evades my hamstring...Besson. Luc. Was it. I think. Can't be arsed to look it up, probably right.

But, in a nutshell, anything but that kill bullsh*t.

"Horror" movies went downhill in the 90's... even now they all use cheap tricks and gore to scare the audience. The classic Hammer Horror movies were soo badly made, they rocked(watch Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires if you can)!

Can't remember the name of it but the Hammer Horror movie where a bunch of shipwrecked people where getting bumped off by a mad axe man who lived in a lighthouse. Think it was a take on Psycho, but I remember it being the scariest thing I had ever seen.

Also the classic 'The House That Bled to Death' was good.

The first Matrix film was good because it was so different.

But my favourite film of all time would have to be "The Hill" starring Sean Connery.

Wont go into detail about the plot as some of you may never have seen it and I dont want to waste it for you but the acting and directing is superb.
Harry Andrews is particularly good. Best rendition of an RSM I have ever seen.
It was filmed in black and white by choice so as to give an atmospher of bleakness.
It wouldn't have worked in colour imo.

The Butterfly Effect (Aston Kucher in a very good serious role i didn't expect after his high school MTV show career)
Se7en
Trainspotting (Sex, drugs and a whole lot more drugs)
Requiem For A Dream
Der Untergang (Don't want to come across Bruno Ganz in a dark alley :S)
The Pianist
Army Of Darkness (how can you resist the coolness of Bruce Campbell?!? :D)
12 Monkeys (An insane with friends in high places, marvellous!)
Memento (I forgot that i forgot, yet i remember that i forgot that, confused already? no? go watch it now! :D)
Donnie Darko (Hi!, my name is Frank and i'll be your bunny for today!)
Princess Mononoke
Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind
.....
etc.

Anyway i basically enjoy movies with a complex or semi-complex plot that surprises you (or not, but that can be a surprise aswell ^^) and movies that have to do with our history it being true or a Hollywoonized version of the truth

Agreeing with Yeppy for once, Dogma is a classy film, but i wouldn't say the Negotiator was a top 10.

Also The Matrix was a great film as it was such a new idea and mainly made interesting through the threory of the plot, well for me anyway.

Thought more ppl would mention Alien(s)
True, it is the best out of the Alien series of films, but I didn't mention it because of the fuck-up the last two films were.

I remember when they were making Aliens 3, the crew hated the whole film so much they started wearing t-shirts with something like 'this film is fu*kin crap on the back'.

The story ended at Aliens for me, I can't bring myelf to watch the other 2.

agreeing with ya, Graknak. Really good movies. Donnie Darko is a very interesting film (i still crook up when i try to piece it together, finding erros which i later prove is right to my self etc, etc - same with memento). Butterfly effect is cool, but it has a "big" flaw.

Pulp Fiction is also a classic by now.
<thinking, thinking>

also alot of anime. Most of the anime directed by Hayao Miyazaki (Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away to name a few). Love the way they catch my inner child and warm me up inside (cept for Grave of the Fireflies) argh i could go on 8(

Fight Club is brilliant as well.
Trainspotting is also quite refreshing ;D
Amelie of Montmartre - damn i had to look along time to find the english title ;> great movie also.

So hard to mention them all. There's loads to different moods and such. ( also i love pirate movies but can't seem to find any good, ideas anybody?)

yup luc besson. think he did Leon to. excellent films.

to many films to list cant hav a fave but Aliens was a god of a film. the marines were just so fkin hardcore. the 1st film sitll scares me to much to watch alone. altho alien3 and resurection were a let down.

and after i bought the game The Thing i got really eager to see the film so i bought it and is definatly in my top 5. can never watch it to much. its just genious. scary as fk and freaky. the bit when the guys head falls off and crawls away is kool/disturbing and just WOW its just an amazing film.

There's a film I watched at a naughty girl school, I got too chose the film, and everyone loved it.

The film is Out Cold, its a comedy, it has generally a bit of everyting in it, so its great for any person to watch ...
Snowboarding, Women, Love, Alcholism, Gay fella, Bear doing strange things ect ect
You will have to watch it, was the funniest film I have ever watched.

Think its only rated PG but check it out ..
