I hate all things like 'heavy' metal so I'll plump for...

Pantera - Planet Caravan.

Old song, Black Sabbath cover but I dug it out of my cd singles box the other day and it's still good so I put it on mp3. Nice guitar solo which makes a change from all the talentless bastards who think they gotta play 300 notes per second to be a good guitar player.

I totally cannot stop singing 'crazy right now' , and that's the only line I know.

Beyonce=drool
(btw my mates just booked her to appear in the Babooshka club in Manchester)

....what, like most other Pantera songs?
Incidentally, Pantera IS heavy metal :p

And when the hell did trog start listening to good music? :D

This week I have been mostly enjoying the moderately old Genesis song, Driving the Last Spike.
Ownage. Phil Collins may have sucked solo but he can still sing like a good'un when he puts his mind to it.

Also, One Minute Silence - The Way Back.

Exactly! this is why I mention it as it's a great example that most metal bands could actually one day create something worth listening to :p even if it IS a cover :D

Face it, while Pantera don't necessarily hammer out 300 notes per second tunelessly, they certainly downtune needlessly and wail around cheesily in every goddamn song. Oh, and Black Sabbath didn't write Planet Caravan, damn you.
/em puts jazz original on CD player

Also, Feeder - Summer's Gone is a fkin awesome song in classic feeder style. It's just a bit hard to have a really downbeat song as your current favourite when you're generally happy ;D

Its either:

a) Justin Timberlake - Senorita
b) Santa Esmerelda - Dont let me be misunderstood
c) Crooklyn clan with Fatman Scoop (feat. Faith Evans) - Be Faithful

All reallllly nice songs for me to listen to atm. But for some reason i dont think 'a' is going to go down well in here

old Tristania is pretty good (upto and including Widdow's Weed)

Sirenia sounds a bit like a crossbreed between Opeth and Tristania. I rather love them from the songs I heard

Hmm cant decide, friend asked me to recommend some music for him awhile back which made me listen to alot of my old favourites. Here goes anyway, ill narrow it down to 5 songs in no particular order. :)

Darkest Hour - The Sadist Nation, hardcore/melodic death hybride from the states, something about the drums that got me hooked

At The Gates - Blinded By Fear, what can I say, it's a classic, always have it on while walking to class in the morning

Opeth - Hope Leaves, nerf when a songs lyrics can summarize how you feel about your life in under 5 min.

Meshuggah - New Millenium Cyanide Christ, nothing wakes you up in the morning quite like this one

Nasum - Stormshield, Complete with Kevin Spacey in "seven" sample and a very rhytmic At The Gates'ish smelling grindcore song it really is a 2:23 long piece of catchyness in it's most anit-catchyness format.
