what about farming artis, and selling em? that always made me a fortune back in the days..

Yup, for sight there is really only a few good places.
White lights - as stated above.
Or If you have a toon with 500+ skill in metalcrafting.
Go to Pikemen (Lyonesse), Gems, armor (metal), rings etc is dropped plus 50s to 1.5g in coin.
If you salvage the armor and trinket it you will make on ave, 1p per hour or two depending on how fast you pull.
Helps also if you are getting paid to pl a toon from say 20 to 40, as they can be bag-man and hold all the items for you, as well as collecting them.

Lack of a buffbot shouldn't stop you.. plenty of people have a buffbot so just team up with them..
The best way of making cash is often by finding someone else that needs cash and doing stuff you couldn't do solo.. Stuff that can be soloed by a unbuffed char tends to be fairly worthless in the long run unless your just farming for salvage.
It's also much more fun than spending 7 hours solo chain pulling something.
Popping by the band of stars locations could also be worth it as it's probably easy to kill unbuffed for you and the ring although rare still sells for a bit.
