On the off chance you were talking to me.. in the single player sense. I've not played any online games in ages, nothing has grabbed me since early CS. I can't play any MP games nowadays anyway, I share my net connection and pings would be abysmal.

just dont do what i did and leave it on rather high setting, you die way too easly, its a fun game tho,
the stealthy part is done well,
and throwing rocks saves you alot, lol, love the sniper rifle though

I bought it on friday before last, completed it on about wednesday I think. Deffo worth buying if you like fps and your comp can run it.

Sorry Nath the question was indeed directed at you, I just dont like quoting people for some reason, dunno why.
Anyway, thats where we differ i suppose, I dont like single player games much, in fact Im not bothered very much if they dont have one at all, ala BF1942 or BF:Vietnam, Id sooner play them any day, which is why I asked.

Got bored of farcry quite quickly, gave it another chance and now I am loving it!

Amazing game, the enemy AI is a bitch at times. Being in thick jungle and hearing cries of "their he is", "i'll cricle left", "circle right" and not being able to see anything but incoming fire is scary as hell.

I agree with Chets, I played it for a day and got fairly bored of it (regardless of how lush it looks) and went back to BF1942.

However, I will go back to it and have a another blast once I get my dead 9800 Pro replaced.

Ok, I just got to see one of the "genetic experiments". I'm hoping this game doesn't go the way of half-life and suddenly replace the great mercenary enemies with stupid monsters.....

i bought this week + more ago.
its rather good, although i dont like the inside monstery bit, they aer scareh!
and after a while it does seem that the mercs get replaced by monsters... but there are still some mercs.
its a pitty you dont work with the mercs to kill the monsters, that would be good.
i havnt finished it yet, but ive only been playing about a level a day

Played the demo but didn't really grip me. I found it pretty straight forward and boring to be honest. :/ I guess the full version is more entertaining but I'm not gonna spend £30 just to find out whether I was right or not.

i was on a level where i saw loads of zip wires in the distance... couldnt work out how to get to them to use em tho

The demo was piss poor. Nice graphics, terrible gameplay. (SP anyway, didn't play multi)

okey doke I'll take your word for it and leave that one alone. I'm picky about FPS's anyway so would probably think it's even worse than you do

When I played the demo the controls seemed a little bit.......fuzzy.......

They sorted that in the main game or do you still get that little sense of lag?

I never played the demo myself, but Ive had no problems with laggy controls.
(Im assuming we are talking about Far Cry here and not Painkiller)

This is the best FPS I've played since HalfLife was released 6 years ago. If you like FPS games it would be a shame to damn it on a few negative comments made by people who didn't like the demo.
